I am FINALLY almost done with mine. It turned into a goddamn book. But I'm excited to share it soon, along with the Chorus staff list.

 

yeah. mine was starting to look that way, so i only did writeups for the top 20. was getting too crazy haha.

 

Narrowed it down to 60, I think that's as good as its going to get.

I cheated a little bit with artists who released multiple albums in the decade that were important to me. Hiss Golden Messenger became my favorite artist/band over the span of the last 10 years, and his run from Poor Moon to Heart Like A Levee is one of the most impressive sets of consecutive releases I can think of from any artist. He also released 5 other albums this decade (Bad Debt, Vestapool, Virgo Fool, Hallelujah Anyhow, and Terms of Surrender) that were also really strong albums. Just an insanely impressive and prolific decade for MC Taylor.

putting together a list of songs is so fucking hard

 

The playlist I put together as a shortlist is 300 songs lol. I've been too daunted to touch it since compiling all of them.

 

I'm at 136 of like core, personal favorites but I just keep remembering songs/bands

 

Damn...didn't realize I made this list almost two years ago (this thread has been up for a while).

I'd probably add: Slaughter Beach, Dog - Birdie, Brian Fallon - Painkillers & Mac Miller - Swimming to this list.

It’s on apple and some of it is Apple Music and some from my local library so idk how that all works, but maybe you’ll still be able to scroll through it or something. It’s really messy and all over the place but maybe you can find something!

 

Here's what I have as far as songs go so far. I know I'm forgetting a ton and at a certain point with some artists I just stopped listing songs. I could have 3 Bon Iver albums on there and all of Carrie and Lowell/Goodness. Earl was hard for me because I view SRS as such a unit as opposed to individual songs.

I'll probably make it into an Apple Music playlist at some point
