PPP Prediction: HHH wrestles for team NXT. The Fiend or TUE take out Rollins before the main event. Punk takes his spot as captain of team Raw. Smackdown doesn’t even bother showing up for the match.

This may surprise you, but they've booked themselves into a corner with War Games the night before. We're gonna find out the NXT team on Sunday morning at best.

I could see HHH ending up on the team...But if its Gargano, Balor, Ciampa, Riddle, and like Lee, that;d be cooler

i could suspend disbelief about brand supremeacy if they actually FOLLOWED UP ON IT, ya know, like 2 weeks after the ppv happened. OR if the brands had been somewhat cemented for the past few years.

I did read the results. Glad to see that Owens/Shane angle did such wonders for owens lmao what a waste of time that was

Yep. Becky is charging for RAW, despite a year ago being die-hard SD. Viking Raiders are fighting for RAW, despite being on the NXT roster earlier this year. The captains of the women's sides were literally on the opposite brands a month ago.

SD got shut out last year, you'd at least think that would have led to some consequences...but Shane instead reigned supreme for nearly a year.

 

survivor series is a PPV without stakes - even tho I guess I could say that about seven other PPVs

 

It would be one thing if the announcers were like “maybe this is how Mojo gets the attention of the raw decision makers by making an impact here and showing his devotion to the brand”

The Regal Kayfabe answer is usually in a war the more disposable soldiers are on the front lines.

Would be stupid easy to at least add a bit of stakes too.

"Whichever brand wins gets the number 30 entries in the 2020 Men's and Women's Royal Rumbles"

 

This is the part that kills me; its so easy to kayfabe this: "While Seth Rollins and Andrade are murdering each other to be in the match, SD wisely sends Lucha House Party to soften them up...I hear Baron Corbin offered them each $10k to do so".

Its even crazier that they sort of got it right like an hour later; the KO interference feeds into a "will he turn" angle, HHH plays up their history, there's a tense moment when HHH is mad at Cole for maybe ruining their plan. Its the same show...how does one interference mean literally nothing, and another have layers of nuance?

Also, imagine that Cole hadnt been announced for the ladder match this Wednesday. After this run-in, HHH announces Cole for the match (instead of Roddy or Kyle) out of anger. WWE desperately needs an 8yr old kids whose job is to ask "but, why?" for every choice.

Honestly. Just do wwe vs nxt at least. Make it an old guard vs new guard storyline.

Im trying to imagine how bad (and long) a 15-man, 3-way elimination match is going to be. Like, even their usual "6-man tag, everyone hits a signature to clear the ring" spot was used to eliminate 6 people in a couple of minutes still means there is 9 people left.

They might go longer than the Wargames matches.

 

Survivor Series sucks. It’s a decent idea, but they manage to make it suck when you think about it for more than 10 seconds.

 

I'm at a point where I don't even think about not watching Raw, it just doesn't even cross my mind that it's on and then this morning i'm like oh shit Raw was on.
