I always do. They're around 40-45 the last couple years in Chicago/Detroit at the door.

Heading to Holmdel today, will have a write up of yesterday and today at some point tomorrow. Just wanted to say that sum 41 and the Maine back to back in the rain was probably my favorite hour of warped tour ever. So much fun.

Anyone who has complaints about the monks, I would email Lyman. His email is all over his twitter. Looks like he is always looking for feedback about any star encounters. I read where he was talking to a gilr about a rude security member. It may interest him

Yesterday was a lot of fun even though I have the worst blister on my right foot from wearing old shoes. I ended up having a few conflicts and most of the bands I wanted to see were playing right after each other, so I ended up seeing nine bands in a four hour span. It was awesome, but exhausting. Thought about leaving before The Story So Far (who played last) because it started to rain but I stuck around until the end. The rain was more like a gift after how hot it was all day.

Started things off by seeing Volumes. I'm not too familiar with them except for "Erased," but they were pretty good. Most of their stuff sounded the same, but they were fun in a live setting. Really interactive with the crowd too, which is always cool to see. Wish they were selling CDs at their tent but they only had merch.

Went over to the pavilion to watch Knuckle Puck after them and I got there just as they were starting "Disdain." They were so good and I was so happy I got to see them because their shows always sellout here. Played less songs off Copacetic than I was expecting, but they played some of my favorites on the record so I didn't really care. Kind of wish they were playing on a different stage because the pit area at the pavilion isn't very big.

After them was Wage War and they either got really popular over the last few months or half of the crowd was there early to get a good spot for Motionless In White because they had a huge crowd. Had to move to the side from people starting random dance pits at will. Couldn't really see the band because the Monster North stage is located on a sloped incline but they sounded fine. About the same as they do on CD.

Raced over to the mainstage to watch New Found Glory and they were a blast. It was my first time seeing them, so I went off for every song they played. Definitely the funnest set of the day. Seemed like they were doing a "greatest hits" set aside from the couple of songs they played off Resurrection but like I said, it was my first time seeing them so it wasn't a big deal, haha.

Watched some of Motionless In White after them. Think more people were there to see them than anyone else because I have never seen the Monster Stage that crowded before. They were pretty good from what I saw. Can't really comment on stage presence or anything because I couldn't see them but they sounded good. I really liked the new song they played.

Next was Masked Intruder and they were awesome. Had kind of a small crowd in the pit but everyone there was having the time of their lives. The guy in the cop outfit that travels with them was in the crowd for basically the entire set and Roger from Less Than Jake played guitar for a couple of songs while Intruder Green went into the pit. Their stage banter between songs was pretty funny, too. Glad I remembered that they were on this tour because they were one of my favorites from the day. Also, security had to apprehend one guy in the crowd but I'm not sure why. They didn't look pleased, though.

State Champs were next. They were a lot of fun. It was my second time seeing them so I kind of new what to expect but I'm more into them than I was a few months ago, so it was nice to actually know their songs this time.

After them I watched Veil of Maya. I'm a new fan of these guys so I didn't know they had only one guitarist. They were pretty impressive to watch, though. The vocalist has a pretty crazy range. Got to meet him later in the day and he's a really nice guy. Rec'd a few bands for me to check out since I saw everyone I wanted to see after Every Time I Die. Speaking of which, they were the best set of the day. Was my fourth time seeing them and they always bring their best even when they aren't headlining. The new song they played (Glitches?) sounded fucking insane, so i'm pretty amped for the new record. Got to meet them later in the day, too and Andy said they might be coming back to the area with Beartooth in a few months.

Had a few hours to kill between the end of ETID's set and The Story So Far, so I hung around the venue for a bit and checked out Vanna. Was super impressed with them and I loved how interactive they were with the crowd. Kind of reminded me of seeing letlive (minus the chaos). Brandan Schieppati joined them on stage for a song, too which I wasn't expecting at all. Bleeding Through's one of my favorite bands so that was pretty cool to see. Bought their new CD and got it signed by the band afterward.

Went back to the pavilion to see Emarosa after that. Was only watching them to stay out of the rain, but I liked their set. They were more impressive yesterday than when I saw them open for Silverstein a few months ago. Then I watched some band called With Confidence on the Full Sail Stage and Gideon on the Monster Stage. Basically doing anything I could to avoid Falling In Reverse.

The Story So Far were solid. Thought the setlist was only okay but I was tired, hungry and just wanted to go home by the time they started playing. They're one of my favorite bands on the tour and I had never seen them before, so I was glad I stuck around. Wish they played earlier but there's nothing they could do about that.

tl;dr: Highlights of the day were Every Time I Die, New Found Glory, Masked Intruder, Vanna and Knuckle Puck. Missed In Hearts Wake, Less Than Jake, The Color Morale, Four Year Strong & Teenage Bottlerocket due to conflicts but still made the most of it. Going to wash the weed, vape fume smell out of my clothes now.

This is what the times looked like if you're curious.

Just came back from today's Jersey show. Quick thiughts:

    - Less Than Jake, New Found Glory were the best sets today
    - Chelsea Grin was surprisingly fun
    - Issues had the biggest crowd that I saw today - it was gargantuan
    - Reel Big Fish was fun as always
    - I saw 5 bands in the amphitheater, none caught my attention.
    - Pissed I didn't get The Maine's "Make America Emo Again" hat

Got back from the Holmdel show a little while ago and it was so great. My 4th warped tour. Not sure where I would rank this one yet. Hot but amazing like usual. I only had one conflict (although most bands I wanted to see were on the main stage anyway so I wasn't expecting many conflicts). I took my friend who isn't even into this kind of music, he just went for the experience lol, but he had a good time.

The security barely checked our bags or anything so we brought in a full water bottle as well as an empty one and filled it as soon as we got in with no line. Security was also using that wand thing but when I went up they didn't do it to me because they said they were doing one out of every five people. What's the point of that?

I started off the day by seeing Set It Off. Saw them last year too and I think they were even better this year. Lots of fun, they really know how to put on a good show.

We had over an hour before the next band I wanted to see went on so we decided to go get food so we didn't have to deal with lines later. It was a great decision. We went into the amphitheater to sit and eat and Secrets was on. Let's just say they aren't my cup of tea.

We headed back over to Journey's Left Foot to see Less Than Jake. They sounded great and as always put on a really fun show. I was so hot though so I didn't enjoy their set as much as I should have.

We had a half hour before Yellowcard was coming on so we just walked around and bought some merch. Yellowcard was excellent, great choice in songs for the set too. Hopefully I can see them again, but if not, it was a good last set.

Next we went and sat in the shade on the grass and watched Avion Roe. They are pretty cool, have a good sound, I recommend you check them out.

Now was my conflict. It was between Against The Current and State Champs. I have already seen both of the before so due to the fact that ATC was inside in the shade, we decided to go and see them. We left early though because I wanted to get a decent spot for We The Kings, who were outstanding. Love their fan interaction and they made the set so much fun.

We were just walking around and some black guy handed us a cd and told us about how he came all the way from Seattle and blah blah. He asked for $5 and for some stupid reason I gave it to him. And then my friend only had a dollar and he said to my friend "Don't worry your buddy'll cover for you". That cd better be good (it's rap so it definitely won't be).

Next we saw New Found Glory, who sounded great. I didn't know all the songs but I had a good time anyway. We walked around a little more and then came back to see Falling in Reverse. They were pretty good, had a large crowd as expected.

And to close out the night was Sum 41 who I had been waiting to see all day. They were just so great. There's really nothing else I can say.

    Some key things to highlight:
    -I saw 10 bands in total (I saw 11 in 2015, and 10 in 2014, I think 7 in 2013)
-7/10 bands were on the Journey's Left Foot Stage
-My favorite sets were We The Kings, Sum 41, and Set It Off (but everyone was great)
-Issues and SWS had the largest crowds based on what I saw

Can't believe it's over already. Guess it's time to count down for next year

I'm sure your guys' predictions for next year are probably, unfortunately, right on the button. They're safe guesses, but unfortunately for me at least I would just have no interest in any of them. It may be the year I skip... but, if they surprise like this year and throw in bands like say...

Billy Talent (in place of Sum 41)
Suicide Silence (in place of Whitechapel)
    Alexisonfire (in place of Yellowcard)
Stick To Your Guns (in place of Every Time I Die/Vanna)
Anti-Flag (in place of New Found Glory)
NOFX (in place of say Reel Big Fish... not really the same genre or anything at all like with the others above, more so just a comparison in terms of band popularity/age range)

then hell yeah I'll be there... otherwise honestly... if there's not 3 or 4 of the bands I listed there and it ends up being the same bands that have played recently I think I'll skip unfortunately... but hell that's so far away, can't wait for my Warped this year this weekend!

Billy Talent, Suicide Silence, and STYG are all realistic predictions

I would not be upset at all if 2017 was the year of deathcore for the Monster stage(s). Suicide Silence, Carnifex, Despised Icon, Oceano, Lorna Shore, Emmure, Black Tongue, etc. Probably won't happen aside from maybe a couple bands but still would love for it to happen.

This year 2/3 of the Florida dates were on the same day as twenty one pilots within 1-3 hours of each other, which probably affected attendance since those shows sold out before warped was even announced.

I could definitely see letlive. returning to Warped next summer. I saw them at Open Air and they really didn't fit in there.

Any guesses what those bands will play? I expect Good Charlotte to play Makeshift Love. I also hope they play Life Changes or Life Can't Get Much Better too.

Anybody caught NFG's book signings? Considering how many bands i want to see, I'm a bit anxious about having to skip somebody for the signing...any ideas how long the wait should be? And, are they generally around the booth all day or just for the signing?
