I hope fox forces wwe to put big poppa pump in the HOF

That's the only good thing that can come out of this

Yeaaahhhhh, I'm pretty sure Vince is the dude completely running Raw and Smackdown. He may be out of touch, but he's not stupid, so sure, I would assume that he'd listen to some of Fox's suggestions, but it's still his ship. That said, WWE Backstage is under the umbrella of Fox, and they would probably have final say on the hiring decisions.

Vince freaking goes crazy when dudes come back. It's like he "wins" then. But good for Punk. I'm sure he'll be making some okay money, and he gets his name and face back out there (without getting handily beaten in terrible MMA fights). That said... So uncool.

I'm confused. Nick Miller was released from NTX late last year? He's been working in New Japan this year. Did NJPW just release him? That seems sudden for them.

Is Drake going announce Nick Millers release too?

I mean I’m sure WWE isn’t mad about it, they’ll get a ratings bump next week for sure and it could be the first step toward an in ring return which of course they’d want.

But Fox is pretty powerful...when they had the NFL/MLB/college folks do WWE stuff that’s good for business. If they decided to have Joe Buck do guest commentary for Smackdown yeah I’m sure WWE would need to approve it but again...why wouldn’t they?

"It's okay that Drake got booed at Camp Flog Gnaw. It's better to get a reaction than no reaction." — Vince McMahon, probably.

Punk has made it clear in interviews that he is dealing with FOX and not WWE, and heavily insinuated that's the only fuckin reason he's doin the show haha.

Vince isn't stupid. He knows a Punk return would be money, but he also knows how much he's fucked Punk over in the recent past. Giving Fox the OK for him to be on the show will be a way to open the dialogue for a proper return. There was no way in hell him or WWE were gonna jump straight in at the deep end.

It's more like If Fox wanted Drake to come out on WWE Backstage, Drake would appear on WWE Backstage lol

I'm sure Fox sent them like an "FYI Here's who's appearing."

But if Fox was adamant on Punk appearing, and Vince was adamant on Punk not appearing, Fox would win. That's kinda a better way to put my overarching point.

As much as Punk says he would call out the bullshit, I doubt fox wants someone shitting on the show they are airing. So he’s gonna fall in line for that money regardless of the name on the check. Or be fired

I am just gonna say it:
I still don't understand why the guy who hated on WWE the most for the last couple years does not go to AEW in some capacity.

Because they completely and totally fucked up getting him?

They’re probably better off not having him. Seems like the kind of dude you gotta be walking on eggshells around

Yeah, it'd been cool to get him because that's a huge name adding some legitimacy and whatnot, but i'd honestly prefer them building and developing younger guys than grabbing anyone and everyone with an axe to grind against WWE. I don't need to see Ryback on TV ever again.

I actually agree with swoos here. At least I see his point. CM punk coming back to wrestling was the next, or even last, big bullet available to all the wrestling companies. And while it's not in the ring... when he does, it wont be AS big. Completely out of nowhere, no announcement "cult of personality" on raw or rumble would've been the biggest pop of all time.

I think punk returning for a stupid backstage show. Just kinda disappointing

It was his choice though. He could have turned down the offer if he wanted that big pop. This is what he chose to do.

In actual fun wrestling land, I'm excited to see where Powerrr goes after the ending to yesterday's show. Maybe Aldis is gonna flip his shit and destroy everyone/everything? Kamille looked ready to talk.

I am surprised by how much I like recent Trevor Murdoch. He scratches that fat, beer drinking, Harley Race worshipin' rassler itch.

The Question Mark is stupid, and I love it.

Also even doing the show if you don't think people will lose their collective minds if at #2 in the rumble, cult of personality plays, you're just wrong.

How long is punks contract with them? I would guess maybe 2-3yrs?

I can’t believe I’m actually somewhat keeping up with Powerrr. There’s just something about it that’s fun. I’m like an episode or two behind but I’ll probably catch up this week
