4 and a half long years of mulling that one over huh

 

Man after 25 years of thinking about it, I don't think Mark is a good fit for the band either.

Really it should just be a Travis solo project.

I knew it was B because I've sang that song too many times in Rock Band.

 

Imagine being as cool as blink-182 at big day out 2000. Wow.

 

I feel Nine died out quicker for me than I had wished. I think it still packs a punch and has some of the best blink material since ‘03, but I find myself not actively searching for it. When it does come on, I want to listen to the whole thing immediately. I do enjoy throwing it on shuffle and anticipating what the next song will be.

 

I am still returning to this pretty often. I did not expect to love this as much as I do.

 

I'm in the same boat. The first two weeks I couldn't stop listening to this. Now when a song from it comes on shuffle, I usually skip it.
Hoping some time off from it will make me appreciate it again.

 

I think because we consume music differently than we did in 2003, our relationship with albums is far more different. I’d argue nothing really hits the way that albums back then did. Also, my taste has changed so much since then. blink is still and will always be my absolute favorite band, yet I hardly ever put their records on. I never miss a local show, though. It’s a weird relationship. I swear I know the live versions of songs much better than the record versions. That said, I know just about every word of every song on NINE and I’ve probably only spun it 20-25x in total.

 

I still haven’t been this connected to a blink album since TOYPAJ. That’s a long ass time. I’m currently visiting my friend in Seattle and we’ve been blasting NINE my entire time here.

 

I'm giving myself a bit of a break because I played the fuck out of it the first month or so. Trying to catch up on other music that came out since haha but I still was regularly putting it on at least a few times a week up until like 2 weeks ago.

 

I changed the album art to this and I love it. For now, at least. I’ll probably switch it back at some point. Right now I’m digging the darker vibes lol.

 

That would be great for the deluxe version if and when they release it.

Hahaha. Is this from that same trip seen in TUC when Mark is lambasting everyone for going into the ocean where the waves were crashing into the sand? I’ll just say yes.

 

Nine is still really really good. Love that it’s 15 songs (plus a bside) and I love that they didn’t bother with a joke song. I think it sounds great in terms of how a pop punk band in 2019 can sound.
