You know I used to think this too until allegations against popular artists started coming out and ppl (specifically cis straight white men) would be shocked. Like it'd be an artist that had rumblings among women in the scene forever but the men would be like "wuuuut I've heard nothing but great things!!" And it's a really sad reflection on 1) how underrepresented women are, 2) how the women who are present are not listened to and 3) what a bubble these guys live in. Never ceases to amaze and disappoint me.

 

Seeing an artist on a label you like and have supported for years detail how that label has done some incredibly shady shit to them... we absolutely hate to see it. The onus is on Tiny Engines to do the right thing.

The funny part about Matt’s tweet about Pinegrove is that he isn’t exactly wrong.....just not in the way he intended it.

 

I have not listened to this yet, but apparently Kevin Lymjan bashes some bands for not wanting to be on Warped Tour in it. I don't know if that exactly falls under accountability, but I figure I would share it here anyways.

So how do we handle that comment Stevie (Adult Mom) made about Christian being the worst person ever? There’s obviously something that has been going on but we don’t know any details. Is this something to potentially stop supporting The Hotelier over?

This is all super weird and I’m going to wait for more information before I talk about “stop supporting” Christian or The Hotelier. Up until this point I feel like he’s been afforded the benefit of the doubt.
