The Conjuring 2 was cool. Some cheese, and honestly the crooked man stuff fell flat for me. The part where the girl is by herself with the tv changing, and he showed up behind her scared the shit out of me.

Overall preffered the original. So out of the horror I've seen this year I would say:
    10 Cloverfield
    Hush
    The Conjuring 2
    The Shallows

Still need to see The Witch, Green Room, and The Invitation.

Well my fiancée is NOT a fan of horror, and my friends don't have the same schedule as me. So most of my theater watching has to align with her tastes. The Witch should be on BR soon though.

Got around to seeing Election Year tonight. I find the Purge films to be very enjoyable the first time around, but I find them to have little to no replay value.

Also, some of the acting is comparable to an after school special.

I was just happy to see Juliet from Lost in a starring role. Speaking of which, has anyone been watching Dead of Summer on Freeform?

I wasn't allowed to watch that growing up

I do remember seeing an episode where a couple's bodies were switched?

Not sure how much they qualify, but I'm curious whether or not I should watch The Purge films and whether or not the new one was any good. The trailers always seemed intriguing, but I never sat down and watched.

The last two were a lot of fun. Watch the first if its on tv. But the sequels are a blast and you don't need to watch the first to get what's going on.

As mentioned before, the original is the weakest film in the franchise so I'd skip that and start with Anarchy.
