I enjoyed it quite a bit. Awful that Yelchin isn't around anymore. Always liked his flicks.

Wow, that was one intense movie. Really liked it, just a raw and violent movie that constantly keeps you on edge. Watching Anton's performance makes his death even more tragic in my eyes, such a wonderful talent lost. Patrick Stewart's character was probably my favorite part of the film though, such a great villain. Like it was this controlled evil that kept itself in check and stayed calm, kinda refreshing to see that in a horror movie.

Just watched The Invitation. I think some scenes were overly long, but I liked it. The ending I loved most though. Everything after the climax was good. Although, the closing credits song should've gone right into MMMM WATCHA SAYYY.

The Invitation is a great slow burn, it takes time but it pays off quite well.

Stranger Things is so good, love the AMBLIN/Stephen King/Poltergeist vibes.

That's the Netflix series right? I was wondering about that. I'm off work the next three days, that might be my binge watch of the week.

I've been watching a lot of Lucio Fulci movies lately and it's been great. I really recommend A Lizard in a Woman's Skin, The House by the Cemetery, Zombie, and Don't Torture a Duckling

I actually just picked up The House by the Cemetery from the Salvation Army a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea it was by the same guy that did Zombi 2! I'll check it out

It's awesome. If you like that I'm sure you'll like the other two listed as well. He made some really great films in the 70's / early 80's.

The Green Room was good. I think my expectations were a little high based on previous A24 films (it likely won't make my yearly favorites like Swiss Army Man will, or like Ex Machina did), but it was well acted, well-executed and tense throughout. It just felt a little...I don't know, empty I guess. But maybe that's supposed to be the beauty of it. I'll have to spend some time thinking about it.

Yeah I loved green room which was surprising. Anton being in things always peaked my interest but I tend not to love hyped up horror movies as much as most ppl. Anton and Imogen make too good a team.

I liked it pretty well, not as much as others but I can see enjoying it more on subsequent watches

Same. Tops my list so far. The only film I anticipate will be able to challenge it this year is The Woods. But we'll see. Hopefully there will be a few more surprises by the end.

I didn't care for the invitation. I usually like slow burners but that one just annoyed me cause there was no reason for anyone to stay at that stupid dinner party after a while cause it was obv weird and shady and I hated them all.

Edit except mmm watcha say. he can stay

Yeah, The Woods is my most anticipated movie for the remainder of the year.

Lights Out is supposed to be incredible. When I initially read about it at the beginning of the year, I thought it would be awful...but it has excellent reviews.
