Child’s play, pet sematary, brightburn, happy death day, and ready or not are the only ones that I’ve seen but are all very good. Pet sematary creeped me the fuck out

 

I watched it last year for the first time. Not as gory as you’d expect but completely terrifying

 

Lol love that Sydney has sex with him and then immediately starts questioning whether he's a murderer again. girl sis thats something you should be confident about beforehand!

 

Just watched Haunt which was surprisingly solid. It’s probably my favorite movie that I watched this month and definitely recommend it to anyone who’s on the fence

Forty films total, only fifteen of which were films I had seen before which is pretty impressive considering I was so tempted to watch films I had already seen but I am really glad that I prioritised first time watches as I had a great time with several.

This is impressive. Every year I fail massively at whatever it is I hope to achieve from watching movies in October.

I also started watching movies before October 1st. Those included Brightburn, Scream 1, 3, and 4.

 

That's a good question
I think I liked Child's Play the most. I saw that in theaters, wasn't expecting a lot, and didn't watch a trailer so i was pleasantly surprised. As I mentioned, Pet Sematary was the scariest.
Ready or not was very good but there was like 2 different times that I thought it was over and then wasn't. We went at like 9 PM so I was ready for it to be over.
Brightburn is just such a bad ass movie but don't expect a plot haha
Happy Death Day 2U was just a lot of fun which was a nice break from seeing people decapitated and achilles tendons cut all month haha. A month of horror movies was more mentally taxing than I was expecting

October movies were just Scream, Creep, and Creep 2 for me

 

I started off with The Shining in theaters as well! You know what, yeah, I'm giving myself an extra week, too; spooky season isn't over until I say it's over!

 

How was the Lighthouse? I really want to check that out
