It's hard to find really good zombie movies lately. I really wish more movies like 28 days later would come out. I guess I'll have to settle with older Netflix movies like ReZort, Train to Busun and World war Z.

It isn’t quite like those listed, but give Overlord a look. I really enjoyed it.

 

Yep, his scene is pretty brutal too. Not for the faint if heart that's for sure

 

Watched Greta again with the girlfriend who hadn’t seen it. She was terrified, but she scares easily so I was not surprised.

 

Watching Candyman for the first time. This is wayyy creepier than I assumed it would be. The poverty/classism aspects of it make it even more interesting.

 

Candyman messes me up. Most of my favorite horror movies I kind of get desensitized to after watching a few times, but that one just gets me every time. The sound design adds a ton to it.

 

Yeah. Like the way the hook is jammed into his stub, the beheaded dog, the blood soaked bathroom stall where the child disappeared etc.

Finally watched Hush today after having it sit on my list for the better part of three years or so. Aside from not really having any discernible story (I guess that was the point?), I really enjoyed it. Simple, but fun and effective home invasion flick.

 

I feel like that movie was more about the atmosphere than the story itself and imo it worked phenomenally

 

Well put. At first I was a bit taken aback by how little background etc there seemed to be, but as it wore on I realized what they were going for thematically and I think they nailed it. Reminiscent of The Strangers, for me.

 

I didn't know what to expect going in to that movie but after watching that was the most anxious I've ever felt watching a movie.

 

I love that the Paramount channel is airing Beetlejuice three times in a row

 

Just watched Scream for the first time. Great stuff.

 

Not sure if anyone replied but it fucking rules

 

Creep 2 was interesting but I definitely enjoyed the first one more

 

Fuck, I just watched Haunt and liked it a lot, but I LOVED CP2019.

Fuck it, make tonight a double feature.

The Lighthouse was fantastic and Dafoe needs an Oscar for it

 

I’m actually a dummy and forgot I had Us waiting for me, so I’m watching that as we speak.

But I’ll get to Haunt/CP in the next couple of days!

Went to a friend's and rewatched Over the Garden Wall and Train to Busan, the latter of which they hadn't seen. Was a good day.

 

Hush is awesome. My favorite horror movie that I found from Netflix. The part with her hand in the door is just brutal

 

That part made me cringe for sure. Some parts of it were actually a little gorier/more brutal than I was expecting.
