Listening to The Blackest Beautiful and I forgot how much I love this band.

i still hate the record but every once in a while a random part from if i'm the devil will pop into my head, for whatever that's worth

 

IITD is such a bummer. I tried to talk myself into it at the time but it is not good. The way they went out and even watching the little documentary thing they released with the album you could tell they were not happy/not feeling it at all anymore

 

So damn good.

 

I was listening to Fake History earlier. The transition between the first two songs really is Worship and Tribute-esque in its brilliance.

 

Also so damn good. Actually, superior to TBB.

 

I went to listen to this last night, hoping I would like it more and... nope.

I think I still think IITD is ok? It's been awhile but I remember not being QUITE as down on it as most.

But they peaked with Fake History imo so I was ok just accepting that. TBB is good but Fake History was really quite special.

 

TBB would be on par with FH if it wasn’t recorded with a toaster. I liked a few songs from IITD but haven’t listened to the whole thing since it came out.

 

Someone posted this dropbox link to a demo/alt version of enemigos. Someone in a Facebook group I'm in put the song on their iTunes and it said it was from "10 years of fake history". Fake history turns 10 next week, maybe a possible re-release of demos coming soon?

Devil had like 3-4 decent tracks but nothing to write home about. Especially compared to the (production quality aside) perfection that The Blackest Beautiful is.
