Just running through their recent trade history makes me so jealous. They just win every damn trade.

 

That ESPN list is the biggest crock of shit. Montreal at 7 and Oilers at 14 mostly.

Calgary is also rather low. They're no world beater but they've made an effort to assess most of their weak spots this offseason, and have done pretty well. Would not be shocked to see them get in on a WC spot

 

the only thing I hope about McPhee is he isn't an idiot and takes any of these bad contracts off teams hoping he does aka don't take Dustin brown because cups and captain.

My friend's sister who bought her first Lightning jersey and picked Conacher for no other reason other than she thought he was the cutest on the team two weeks before he was traded has to be so ridiculously happy right now.

That's really cool. I actually played on a team with the only Australian-born player to make the draft (and his friend from Perth) a few years ago.

 

Poile has taken a lot of shit from the fan base in the past for not doing much, but he has been magical over the past few seasons.

 

Francis is entering this territory. A lot of fans are growing impatient and want big moves (I get that way sometimes as well). But it's hard to be upset with what he's done so far. At this rate we should be a playoff regular soon.

 

Fans are just way too impatient. It takes a while to build a good team, it takes even longer to build a legit championship contender.
