  4. I haven’t lost interest this season but I’ve definitely spent less time reading up on Spurs this year. I still watch all games, still think we actually have a good team. But I can’t take the internet when the team is struggling. The takes are so painful. Those people have some coping issues.

I have fully stopped keeping up with United for the foreseeable future. I can’t imagine paying attention again until the Glazers sell, Woodward is out, and some sort of DoF type is in place.

  6. Just the amount of article links I see on Twitter with the headline "Jose Mourhino pushing to replace Pochettino" or "Here's what Spurs will look like next season under Mourinho" makes me want to vomit.

Like Garrett said. USA supporter, we all know how that’s going.....

My hometown Houston Dynamo are the biggest mess in MLS, sliding into complete irrelevance.

And Blackburn? The club I (foolishly) grew attached to as a young boy? I can’t even really call myself a fan anymore, because I’ve all but lost touch with the club over the last 8(!!!) years since their relegation(s). But I can’t just CHOOSE to root for a new team, that’s not how my brain works.

And I live in a city where we have championship contending teams in the NFL, NBA, and MLB so my focus has shifted recently in accordance. This sport is still my first love.

So this happened last night and I couldn't be more proud of this club. I remember my first match at a high school football stadium and now we have our own historic stadium and winning championships. Excited for next years NISA season and officially being a professional club. Something to be said about having a local club lead by five local guys and not some rich millionaire who can pull the plug on you at any moment.

Looks like El Clasico has been postponed due to the Catalan reactionary protests of Spanish arresting of Catalan leaders.

Both clubs want to play the game as scheduled.

  10. This game is going to set the tone for the rest of the season. Everyone seems to be in a great mood since coming back from the break and the overall vibe has been more positive. We’re facing a bottom of the table team at home. A dominating performance can really bring back the confidence. If we lose or draw or look unimpressive winning then the vibe will go right back in the toilet.

Also VAR fucking sucks and the confusion at the end of Spurs - Watford was an absolute joke.

Even if we take away the technical problems from today, I have to wonder one thing: What is the point of it right now?

Is it JUST for offsides, because if so they need to be clear about it so we know.

Today, Spurs should I’ve lost. Their goal was a CLEAR handball that enabled Delle to keep it under control and have a chance at scoring. If he doesn’t handball that, the ball is going elsewhere and it would at least be a much harder situation for him.

The FA can hide behind “clear and obvious”, but that was clear and obvious. So what excuse do they have? Not wanting to undermine the referee? Cause they have no problem doing that with offsides so why is it such an issue with handballs.

I can think of several instances recently when a VAR check used properly would change the entire result of a match, including my team against Villa when we should have conceded a late penalty.

It is ruining games. It needs to be used properly or not at all. This half measures inconsistent approach is a joke.

Whether they need to bring in independent refs to be the VAR so they'll actually correct the on-field officials, something needs to change. Seems like the refs are hoping it fails so the FA remove it.

I don't think the Dele one was obvious. Certainly from the replayed they showed on MoTD, there wasn't an angle which clearly showed arm rather than shoulder. So far as I know, shoulder doesn't constitute handball.

However, at least one of the penalty decisions made absolutely no sense. Arguably, both teams should have had one, but Spurs absolutely should have conceded a penalty. I just don't understand how the VAR guys looked at that and determined there was no foul.

They really need to start explaining some of these decisions. There have been multiple instances now this year where the fans and pundits have been left scratching their heads as to why VAR hasn't overturned a decision. A point made on MoTD last night was that there hasn't yet been an instance where the referee has been advised to use the pitch side monitors. I didn't even know they were being used in the Prem!

If they're not going to overturn the decisions from the HQ, maybe they need to suggest the ref takes a look. If they're going to call the most unsportingly narrow offsides, then they should be willing to call penalties the referee has missed.
