They did the exact same thing with Atari a few years ago.

 

Yeah I'll definitely get one. 30 games for £45 or so sounds great.

 

Ok. Here is a question: How many of you actually owned the original NES? Not some hand me down from mom and dad. The actual joy of opening it up on Christmas Day like your shiny new PS4.

 

First console I ever opened up was an n64

 

I had a NES, I don't remember opening it, but I remember the original box being in our basement so It was definitely new at some point. Maybe came from one of my uncles or something, idk I just always remember it being in my room.

 

My dad had an NES, and I had SNES/Genesis but the first one I distinctly remember opening was my PS1.

 

I'm buying that Mini NES day one. Doesn't have a lot of the games that actually I did play back then(Duck Tails, Tail Spin, Chip n Dale, Darkwing Duck..... a lot of duck games..... Bucky O' Hare, Baster Mlaster, Pin-Bot, all of the TMNT games.....) But that's why I have an emulator.

 

I wonder what Monolith Productions is up to these days. Middle Earth: SOM was a cool game.

They had made a few of them over the years. If you just look in amazon they have bunch on there.

 

I'm playing Suikoden for the first time, and this game holds up very well with the exception of the inventory system. Mostly doing a playthrough so I can finally begin Suikoden II, I've heard such amazing things about it.

 

Totally had an NES when I was a kid; spent sooooooooooooo many hours on that thing. I assume this new device will allow you to play/insert all your current game cartridges?

 

Now looking at the news release, not so sure

 

I really hope they make a snes version. I miss those Simpsons and TMNT games.

 

No, most likely it will have the games stored on an interval HD. If it's just like the Atari, that is. I could be wrong.

 

Well, that was an easy 180 bucks. Sold the 360 and the 2DS. 2DS sold in four minutes too.

 

That is probably never going to happen, not with the catastrophic sales performance of 3 and Monolith are now basically a Shadow of Mordor factory.

 

Just finished Firewatch in one sitting. That was good.
