Update: I have learned that my great grandfather's name was cayetano. I guess I just could've ever asked my grandma or something but wild. I just googled my great grandmas first name based on her nickname when I was a kid and what ancestry told me her maiden name was and then her husband and my grandma's sisters came up on some dude named anthony de la Garza from Texas' family tree and I'm like duuuude what's up we're related somehow!! Except it's like some outdated forum page on genealogy.com so it's a metaphorical what's up.


My family is weird about family history and they never wanna talk about anything so I am intrigued. My last name is spelled differently on his family tree tho so I may be living an entire lie

Lol idk where mine was born either (from France maybe??). Even when he died his wife didn't bother telling anyone. But this dude in Texas has done all the legwork for me in regards to my paternal grandmothers family. Ancestry barely told me anything lol. Found out my fam is from Aguascalientes which is interesting because I literally have no idea about any of my family history or how they came to the US or anything. Whenever I try to ask my fam about history they're like "wtf why do you care?" So watch me uncover like a mob family secret or something!
