I can only speak for myself here, but R&B is one of my favorite genres.

 

Yeah I didn’t mean you or any other actual R&B fan that loves Frank

 

The Father John Misty guy did some of the drums on the first Demon Hunter album, which is such a random piece of trivia that I initially struggled to believe, lol.

 

i mean, i pretty obviously disagree, but it’s a great song as well so who cares

 

Thinkin Bout You and Pyramids are definitely the two 10s on that album imo.

 

I enjoyed his output around the time he played with Fleet Foxes as J. Tillman most of all.

 

i dunno i guess a lot of ppl just have really different ideas of what pop punk sounds like based on what they grew up w, but as i understand it theres just different waves and i prefer some over others. dont get me wrong im not some hardc0re "pop sucks" hater, i like a good amount of poppy music, but super melodic distorted guitars w john feldman-esque production just never sounded good to my ears.

 

I would personally go with an album that doesn’t feature the lyric “Hi my name is Bob and I work at my job”

 

When I was a tween living in Switzerland we called pop punk “fun punk” lol

I recognize maybe two or three songs mentioned in this entire discussion and boy does that make it an adventure.

 

Hello, ur resident JT h8r is here. Love that plaid guy in the mountains got ppl realizing he's not all that. He's a sniveling lil scrud, waiting for nsync to reunite without him, etc etc

 

JT would be no one without Timbaland. he's the reason FutureSex/LoveSounds was good

 

I like Lost and Forrest Gump much more than Thinkin Bout You/Lost

 

Still the funniest bit of album promotion from this decade:

JT's biggest contribution to music over the past 10 years was helping Chris Stapleton become a superstar.

 

I still want to hear the Justin Timberlake album that goes with that promo.

 

I'd definitely take it over what we got, that's for sure. He's such a weak lyricist that I'm not sure how much substance his country album would be, but it would be an improvement.
