How was Slaughterhouse Rulez?

 

Nothing spectacular, and takes a bit to get going, but I had a decent amount of fun with it!

 

Rewatched the original psycho last night and ugh so good

 

Just watched Hereditary for the second time. I’m not sure what I’m missing but I do not get the hype with this movie. Imo, the middle definitely drags and I had to resist not checking how much time was left multiple times

 

You mean the only Psycho.

 

Decided to watch ParaNorman last night as I was completely underwhelmed by Dark Shadows, so why not watch a film from the same year that looks like something Tim Burton could have done? Just as funny and engrossing as I remember with fantastic stop-motion animation and worthy themes aplenty.

 

I love ParaNorman! You should also check out Monster House, if you haven't seen that.

 

lovvvve Monster House. worked in a theatre when that came out. took my sister to see it and brought home the display poster. still have it!

 

Yeah, seen that as well. Another underrated animated horror film.

 

I need to see Monster House. ParaNorman is just so, so good

 

Echoing the love for Monster House, movie rules. Haven’t seen ParaNorman, but it’s on my very long watchlist.

 

Looking for horror movie recommendations (that I haven't seen) for October, to get in the Halloween mood. So far the top of my list are Carpenter's The Thing, The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Trick 'r Treat. Any other recommendations are welcome!

I know you said it’s on your list, but definitely make time for Trick ‘r Treat. One of my favorite movies of all time, horror or otherwise.

 

Watched Boar and Dead Shack today. Boar was fun, Dead Shack was kind of dumb.

 

I gotta say I really enjoy Savageland (aside from the title). It's on TubiTV right now
