The title track has been stuck in my head all day. Love that one.

I 100% forgot I had the Tyler record coming. Now I’m going to be patiently waiting for that, this and Bayside to show up this week lol

Also I would love Jury Duty lol

The argument that simpler lyrics immediately makes them inferior is just so inherently flawed and it always drives me crazy.

You can pick two random lyrics from any album and do this.. what’s their point

There’s plenty of great imagery on the new record to pull from too!

Yeah I mean it’s fine to not like the record, but that’s pretty obviously an example of someone who took almost no time to dig into the lyrics here.

At least the tweets have no activity so you’re not gonna see them unless you’re searching Menzingers

I can’t make out most of the lyrics and it bums me out. Gonna have to find time to listen with lyrics nearby to get into this.

    Regular

Obviously that is a simplistic example but I do think the lyrics on this album aren't quite as strong as on previous albums, and I say that while liking the record a lot

Really wish I liked this more. I want to like it, but the production and vibe have it not instantly hitting me like every album since Chamberlain Waits. First Menz album that I'm not absolutely in love with and it hurts my heart :/

I was feeling the same way about After the Party when it came out. I still don't love it, but I don't dislike it either. This new record will fall in the exact same place for me I guess.

Most of ATP took a while to click for me, but I do really like it now. This one every track instantly clicked for me

Both this and ATP were pretty immediate for me. It was actually RW and OTIP that took a few listens to sink in.

ATP was an immediate love for me, and it was my first real experience with the band. I had listened to some tracks from OTIP years earlier but at the time that sound wasn't doing it for me. I went back to OTIP and RW after I realized I loved ATP and it gave me a fresh perspective on those albums.

Honestly, outside 6 or 7 tracks (and this album), it took a while for most Menz songs to click for me. I listened to them quite a bit before I actually got into them but now that I am, they're one of my favs

like i remember when 'Lookers' came out, and i went into it thinking i wouldn't be too into it because of my prior feelings about them, but was completely floored by it.
