I never feel bad downloading a leak and listening to it once I know there are lots of industry insider people who already have it and have listened to it. No offense to any of the people on here who get stuff early like Jason and Craig, but being on the outside looking in does feel super exclusionary. I completely understand the how's and why's of it and don't really think the process should change, but that's how I feel about it personally.

 

I’ve discovered some of my favorite bands and albums by downloading their albums randomly from leak sites. If I end up liking the music, I buy it on CD/vinyl, see the band when they’re in town and usually will buy a shirt.

Whenever my bands have put out new albums, I generally always submit them to leak sites. It helps get our band name and music out there to people who otherwise would never have even found or listened to us. We’ve gotten social media followers from it and have sold merch to some of those people too.

So I think as long as you aren’t just downloading albums to avoid purchasing them, it can be really good. At least in my experience.

Shit that's the only leak I've listened to and that was only cause some random website had it streaming (no idea how it stayed up for a whole week)

Haha I dunno. After all the stuff I downloaded back in the day and never hearing anything about it, I’m invincible (Tomorrow blink will sue me).


I didn’t stop from fear or anxiety or anything. I just generally only use a phone and never use the laptop at home. I usually just wait these days. I guess I was caught up in the blink hype.

Can anyone who has heard the album give a name to this song?

More live clips on Reddit. Though it might be best to hold off from listening too much to such short clips I think.

Saying that, I have listened to all the clips because I'm weak. This one I linked is the only one that hasn't got me instantly very intrigued, but I'll reserve judgement until I hear more. In general they all sound killer. And Zach's drums on the first couple of songs on the album seem perfectly poised to bring the album in with so much adrenaline.
