the difference between the shows is really intriguing. NXT was all of their best shit while AEW was a sustainable example of weekly programming - one title match, a grudgeless opener, a six man tag in the main. i love both brands, but for as much criticism as AEW top guys get for overhyping, they delivered a really, idk, down to earth debut. it's not a show that was gonna blow people away only for them to be disappointed by a much more tame episode for week two. i admire the restraint there.

 

overall im just happy to be excited for wrestling. i enjoyed Raw, enjoyed NXT, enjoyed AEW, and am super pumped for Smackdown tonight and think it could be the best show of the four. ill watch all four next week, too. as someone who hasn't watched a full Raw, Smackdown, or NXT in close to a year, that's a big change and it feels good to be invested

Not sure how much of smackdown I’ll watch tonight since it’s on at the same time as the twins, but I’ll catch it on Hulu tomorrow

 

I pissed at myself at having prior social engagements this weekend because King of Trios is on the next three days.

I haven’t been able to go 5 minutes today without hearing or seeing an ad for Smackdown. It’s all over tv and radio. Spanish and English. Pop up ads. It’s crazy
