Why is Blood Orange listed? That album came out in July.

 

City and Colour (I've read good things) and Danny Brown (executive produced by Q-Tip).

Also, DaBaby came out last week...

 

That Cowboys Frinagants album is soo good. "Les maisons toutes pareilles" is one of their best yet :D

Other than that Bayside and Menzingers. Pretty disappointed b ythe new Lagwagon, especially after Hang was such a great record.

today is stacked, with all of these and the new season of Peaky Blinders finally hitting Netflix, I don't know how many albums I'll actually get through lol

 

If anyone's into instrumental jazz, potentially my favorite pianist Hiromi released a pretty splendid new album today titled Spectrum.

 

And BIG MOUTH!

 

Also... out of left field an Audio Karate song was gifted upon us, & it's great.

Edit - I guess they're releasing a full length on Oct 18, holy shit!

In the funny/sad category of new releases, Chris Brown dropped an "extended" version of his latest album.

Instead of 32 tracks long, now it's 42!!!

I don't have words. Numbers, yes, words, no.

 

Dermot Kennedy's album is really good. Dig The Menzingers one a lot.

 

Interesting thing about Dermot's album the song What Have I Done is co-wrote with Nate Ruess.

No big surprises from me today, although Friday's are a reminder here that I don't dig as deep as I used to for new artists:

- Menzingers
- From Indian Lakes
- Bedouin Soundclash (didn't know they had new music coming)
- Norma Jean (I think the Safety Last EP only came out today?)

 

Loving Menzingers, Bayside, and City & Colour but let down by The Avett Brothers :/

 

Safety Last is just a new NJ single — the other songs have been periodically released over the last few months and all of the songs will be on the band’s upcoming record

So much great, new music! And none of it has disappointed me! The Menzingers and Lagwagon both delivered great records that were pretty much what I expected (and that's a good thing) and both Bayside and Danny Brown caught me offguard with how much I'm loving those releases. I still need to dig into the new That Dog LP and the Lucero demos...

The Interrupters' cover of "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish hit streaming services too. It's super fun. Still need to listen to the new singles from Anti-Flag, Chris Farren, Just Friends, and Audio Karate singles too.

But yeah. Great week for music!

 

Really digging it. I saw them open for someone last year, I forget who and enjoyed their set. This new song is the best I've heard from them.
