Just finished NXT and as a wrestling show, I thought it crushed AEW, but god damn did I love hearing Tony Schiavone broadcasting wrestling again.

 

Yeah true. I think it was a good show and it has a lot of promise.

 

Isn’t it a little ridiculous that AEW is beating their chest a bit over beating out a developmental show ratings wise?

I’m sorry, but this has to be taken into consideration.

 

NXT hasn't been a developmental show in a really long time and it definitely isn't a developmental show anymore.

all the development will happen at the PC and at house shows around FL.

 

It’s still the “minor league” so to speak.

The “it’s a marathon, not a sprint” rhetoric from WWE is considerably funnier considering the NXT card was WAY MORE “sprint” than the AEW card was.

I subbed to Fite TV to watch it. 4.99 a month, no commercials. The feed keeps going through the commercials so that’s fun.

 

Maybe that his way to try and get on team hogan instead of team Flair.

Sure you can. Once a network spends $100 million dollars to broadcast your show, you're no longer "minor league." Once HHH comes out and refers to you as a 3rd brand, you're no longer minor league. They are a third brand, that has been one of the absolute hottest things in wrestling for years now. Calling it developmental is just being purposefully naive.
