both shows were good.

NXT felt a little too familiar. not too fussed about Finn being back, i dont think he will be that much better, it's not like his first NXT run featured many bangers. the Panama Sunrise has been severely exposed, it being a constant near fall spot in every slightly big match is absurd. tag match in the main made me think we were getting a title change.

AEW was better by a hair to me. Cody/Sammy was fine as an opener, and i loved pretty much everything else. Hager is a good get.

NXT was fucking great as always. Bookended by two amazing matches. I think it was right not to have titles changes too. It may have been a mini takeover, but it didn’t need any straps to change hands.

Also that Gargano/Thorne match was better than people are giving it credit for. Thorne can really go in the ring. Build him a bit more and I can see a NA title run in his future. The brass backstage are obviously high on him.

I’ve watched half of AEW and I’m struggling. I think it’s because I just don’t care about anyone. And I’m not even talking character because that would be stupid after one show and a couple of PPVs. I just have zero interest in the likes of SCU, MJF and especially Cody. For me, Cody hasn’t been interesting since his feud with the Authority about 7 years ago. But yeah, I’ll give the rest of it a watch tomorrow on ITV.

Also legit thought MJFs opponent was Justin Credible.

 

Watching AEW now. Guevara needs to get rid of that fecking panda thing or whatever he’s wearing in his entrance.

also can someone explain to me why MJF was in Cody’s corner at All Out

 

MJF is playing up how's he Cody's best friend and the greatest person he's ever met. All while shitting on everyone else around him (including Brandi and Pharoh). No doubt it's leading for him to turn on Cody (which you can see small seeds of after Cody's match at All Out with MJF picking up the chair and looking at it behind Cody's back).

And yes, seems like a move to get ahead of the fact that AEW did bigger numbers than NXT last night. Which, yes, I would totally expect AEW to do bigger numbers, since it's something nobody has ever seen before.
