I love both Pinegrove and MoBo. I think if you like this album you'll dig the Direct Hit! album as well

You're missing out on some fun stuff with Direct Hit! If you like PUP, you should enjoy DH! too. New album is the bee's knees.

Adding that to my list too. Might as well give them all a try I suppose!

    ummmmmmmmmmmmm

first song, I like. I can't stand this second song, at all. Absolutely hate his voice on this, I don't get it. On third song now, musically it's everything I want but I do not like the sounds coming out of this man's voice... sorry :-/

    what did I say
dude probably has one of the best voices of anyone that has any overlap to "emo"

I honestly don't care what genre it falls under, I truly think his voice is painful to listen to

Fall tour announced with Pkew Pkew Pkew and Meat Wave. I'll be at the Grand Rapids date.

Between the Julien Baker show that got announced yesterday and this show today it's been a nice couple days for shows haha.

They'll already have played Chicago twice this year through July so I thought I wouldn't get to see em, absolutely stoked! Crazy to think they were second opener on the Menz tour only 2.5 years ago at Bottom Lounge and are now headlining

See if you like their first song:

They're what I guess some would classify as emo? Not sure. Album had to grow on me, but this song is v good.

Classifying music into genres is so hard sometimes. I don't think I'd put them under emo.

That's maybe my least favourite song on the album but still great!

This is kinda cool! Based off the first song. A little lo-fi which is kinda bleh, but I can get down with it overall

Totally. I'm never sure how to describe their sound or style. Not many bands that I'm familiar with sound like them haha.

Bully, Hop Along, Adventures, Cayetana, all dogs are all relatively similar. Only listened to that first song though haha

I should go and give Hop Along a try. Heard a lot about em, never listened.

Painted Shut is still one of my favourite albums from last year. It's really good. Texas Funeral will be a jam till the end of time

This Direct Hit! album is super fun, something about the vocals remind me of like, late 90s rock like Stroke 9/Bowling For Soup/that kind of stuff

EDIT: there is a very specific band/singer that I am thinking of with this same kind of... snotty type of delivery
