Are In Fabric and Piercing streaming somewhere?

Im not sure to be honest, I downloaded both! I know In Fabric isn’t but Piercing could be as it’s been out for a bit

Awesome I'll try to look into those. I really want to see In Fabric and Piercing being the follow up to The Eyes of My Mother has me super intrigued.

I absolutely loved In Fabric, if you like weird giallo stuff it should be right up your alley! Piercing could not be more tonally different than Eyes of My Mother but it has tons of style and I had a lot of fun with it, definitely worth a shot

The Head Hunter is pretty impressive for a 30K budget, fun quick flick.

Music, Gaming, Movies and Guys = Life

The second film of the month has been The Village by M. Night Shyamalan and while it isn't his worst film that I have seen from him it certainly is again a noticeable step down in quality from what I still consider to be his best in the form of The Sixth Sense. Considering the amount of talent on camera and off camera this had a lot of potential and for the first hour that potential seemed to be on the verge of being fulfilled but the rest of the film did nothing for me while removing any tension and the eerie atmosphere that had been built up prior. Just comes across as another case of Shyamalan feeling the need to put in a twist just because his biggest success was notable for one and it feels incredibly forced while being dragged out to the point that it just gets annoying.

Completely fine, different strokes for different folks and all that. I just wish it kept up what I was enjoying within that first hour.

Saw that it was on Prime and because of the talk the other day decided to rewatch The Exorcist III. Some aspects were better than I remembered, but it’s still just such a hot mess in so many ways as well. The original is a film that I take something new from every time I see it, especially when focusing on Ellen Burstyn, and this just hasn’t ever done that for me. But Brad Dourif is always incredible of course.

Just watched Haunt, was a lot more violent than I expected. Occasionally silly but a ton of fun, really liked it

  17. 10/1 - The Shining
10/2 - I put Zombieland on to have something lighter and familiar but wasn't really paying attention to it, just had it playing in the background. I didn't really think it needed a sequel, but they made one, so I guess I'll watch that. I do love the cast.

That effect at the end of Deborah Logan is so good.

Not sure if there is a thread for this and I know I just kind of lurk this thread but the wife and I are doing the “watch at least one horror movie per night” during October thing and I thought this was as good a place as any to put my list:

    0. Coraline (September 29th, also, forgot we watched this with the kids during the day too. Guess we like to start the Halloween season a bit early)

    00. Crawl (September 29th, forgot the daughter and I stayed up until midnight watching this as well and it was a good fun movie so I’m going to include it)

    000. Hocus Pocus (September 30th with the fam)

    0000. The Hangman (September 30th)

    1. Trick r Treat (October 1st)

    2. Insidious (October 1st)

    3. Halloween 2018 (October 2nd)

    4. Huluween Film Festival Shorts (October 2nd)

    5. Snakes on a Plane (October 2nd)

Not a bad start so far

You’ve already knocked off Hocus Pocus and Trick ‘r Treat, so you’ve already covered my essentials.

    Well done.
