imagine being ace enders and thinking your songs don't have big choruses. make it make sense

I'm still utterly baffled by the entire thing haha. I sometimes honestly think Ace is just fucking with us but his humour is super dry

Yeah after looking back at the track list for Imbue, I realized I saved like 5 of the songs off that record and they all have great choruses :crylaugh:

It literally starts with one of his best choruses ever lol

Didn't get into Imbue at all but I really like this one, so I'll go back and pay my respects.

In Currents still rips though, "Call of the Bells" is my favorite TEN song

Lilac is easily top 3 for me.

TMTMTP is my favorite, but there's so much filler between the three discs. This is right up there with In Currents for me right now, may be even a little better.

I'm on the 'didn't get into Imbue' train. I tried to listen to it many times when it came out, and it never clicked. I will say the last two times I listened to it, I did enjoy it more so I'll have to go back to it again.

    TMTMTP>Imbue≥TRTC>In Currents>FAOT

Need more time with Lilac to really know where it sits, but I think it'll be between TRTC and IC for me.

This is such a unique album for TEN. I hope they continue developing this sound bc theres so much potential with it and they’re clearly talented enough to deliver.

Gotta say, as a very casual TEN listener who's not super familiar with much of their music, I listened to this once and thought it was pretty meh. On 2nd listen though and with being able to focus on the lyrics a little more my opinion is completely reversed. Don't know what I was missing the first time but I'm coming back to this album a lot now

Also, Comatose is a banger and no one can convince me otherwise

I'm not gonna lie, the main thing holding me back from straight-up loving Comatose is Ace's vocals/melodies in the verses. I imagined it was being sung by SpongeBob for some reason and now I hate myself because it's all I can think about now.

I always thought You Own My Mind was intentionally made to sound like You On My Mind at parts

  19. Yeah it’s definitely “on” at least the first delivery in the bridge because the lyric going into it is “at least enough to say I’ve got....”

I think you’re right though, it’s probably intentionally ambiguous

I think I need to do a TEN run now. Or even an Ace run.

I’ve been listening to his entire discography on shuffle everyday at work this week, and it has just been amazing everyday. Its insane how diverse his records have become and how he seems to only get better with every record. Seeing how much his singing and songwriting has progressed since the beginning is probably one of the greatest musical journeys I’ve had with an artist. This dude has seriously become one of the best singers & songwriters out there.

Ace Enders is truly THE most underrated artist of our time.

Also, Comatose is a glossier Ace Enders & A Million Different People track. And that has brought it to a new light in my mind.

I’m going to start a TEN/Ace discography run through tomorrow. Throwing all his stuff on a playlist and gonna hit shuffle for a few days and then go through it in chronological order at some point.

“Outside” from TMTMTP may be my favorite song (and speaking of big choruses)
