Soooooo fun. From the jump you know that movie knows what it is.

 

ED is the only reason I ever saw the first one. She should’ve been driving tbh. Shit would’ve been fine.

 

I think I’m going to do either a horror movie or 1-2 tv episodes a day throughout October. Have to put that Shudder sub to good use!

 

Watched The Fear (not Fear with Marky Mark) and the antagonist makes 0 sense but still creeps the shit out of me.

 

Would love to finally try one scary movie a day this month

 

Grindhouse would’ve been a better movie without Death Proof imo

 

For sure. Planet Terror is the only one of the two I still watch.

 

Um death proof is great too guys.

 

It is but it doesn’t really fit the overall vibe

 

Death Proof is def the weaker of the two but I actually love the way they compliment each other and really wish we would've gotten a sequel

At least we got Machete

 

I enjoyed death proof but I only saw it once. I’m watching the extended unrated cut of Planet terror now. Honestly not sure what the difference is since this is the only version I’ve seen

Edit: I just finished Planet Terror. I completely forgot about the part when the wife/dr. falls with her hand in the door handle. anything like that makes my skin crawl

I actually really liked The Last Key, my favourite Insidious after the first one

 

I'm excited to check that out. I really liked the first 3, I don't know how I completely missed the 4th.

 

I’ll say seeing Grindhouse was one of the best theater-going times for me

im the complete opposite. i thought planet terror was ok and adore Death Proof

 

I just saw this in HBO’s library. I was considering watching it because I can’t remember if I’ve seen it. I love the Insidious franchise, so it’s encouraging to hear this one is that good.

 

My brother loved this movie but I had to turn it off due to all of the violence. Do you think it's worth giving it another shot? I was only casually watching but when the guys foot gets crushed with, I think, a mallet, that was enough for me.

 

Just sitting over here waiting for them to make Thanksgiving into a full feature...love both Planet Terror and Death Proof.

 

The first film for this Halloween season that I just watched was the delightfully weird The Lair of the White Worm directed by Ken Russell which I admit is the first time I have seen anything from him but if what I just watched is anything to go by I will certainly be watching more from him. With early but nonetheless solid performances from both Hugh Grant and Peter Capaldi, an engrossing plot, a creepy atmosphere, superb practical effects, an effective score and some genuinely trippy scenes this was a great start to the season.

 

I'm pretty sure Eli Roth was supposed to direct this but nothing ever materialized from it

 

I love Planet Terror but Death Proof is definitely better imo.

 

Yeah Death Proof takes it for me. The dialogue is just so much fun
