So many games out, no reason to support that turd

 

I've only ever played Borderlands 2 and thought it was one of the most boring games I've ever played

 

I hate loop gameplay like borderlands and destiny

 

Vault of Glass was peak video games for me

 

The Divine Dragon boss fight in Sekiro was so cool.

TwitchCon is just as wild and weird as you thought it would be. I kind of love it.

 

Finished the Gears 5 campaign....overall relatively satisfied with the story. On one hand Im extremely happy we got to explore new hope and Niles again, and had all of our suspicions on the locust origins confirmed...on the other hand, i honestly didn’t understand parts of the explanation and still don’t hah. The whole hive mind/matriarch thing and all...and also I guess I kinda get that Kait’s mom is the queen now, but she doesn’t seem to be a living person, more being controlled by the swarm, so I was kinda hoping I’d get more of a Queen Myrrah vibe from her and didn’t really. Pretty sad about the two big deaths (even though one of them is a robot lol), but now I gotta look up to see what happens if I had chosen to save Del instead of JD.

I thought the ending was relatively abrupt. But then again, so was the Gears 2 ending iirc.
Pretty cool that Ramin Djawadi composed the music for the game.

 

I played the first few hours of Gears 5 yesterday, split-screen style. I have some thoughts:

1. This is still by far the best playing 3rd person shooter series out there.
2. The way this game looks and runs on Xbox One X kinda makes me annoyed at the fact that there will be new consoles next year.
3. I don’t really think the parts where you run around without combat are a great addition to the Gears formula.
4. The new types of scenery however definitely are a great addition.
5. The story really has been a lot better in 4 and 5 (so far) than in the old games. This franchise has kinda grown up.

Gears now is definitely different in tone from Gears then. Anyway, it doesn’t matter all that much, because the gameplay is fucking unparalleled.

 

It's just a style of game that's just very much not for me anymore

 

I saw a few gifs of stealth sections in that game and the amount of 2nd hand embarrassment I felt was enough to completely divest my interest in this franchise.
