Ours had like maybe 12 people and everyone was dead silent. I was chewing my popcorn as slowly as I could because I could hear every chew haha, but it was definitely refreshing to go to the movies for once where people weren't texting or talking

Also, there were no trailers so make sure you're there on time!

Music, Gaming, Movies and Guys = Life

I slightly prefer it over the first film, not going to say I don't like the first one but I just don't find it as scary or enjoyable. Guess a combination of seeing the first film only as an adult, not liking the second film at all and expecting the third to be much the same all had a role in me liking the third film the most. Now sure the first film is the better of the two but my respect for it doesn't spill into getting a great deal of enjoyment from it.

Haha, can't say I am surprised by this reaction but then again often regarded classics aren't always something I get a great deal of enjoyment out of. I'd mention The Godfather but this is the horror thread, so...

I get it man! Just teasing

I can't think of an example right now but there are definitely sequels of "classics" that I enjoy more than the classic itself.

The second is an atrocity, that we can all agree on.

Also I tried to find a gif of Father Karras falling down the stairs to express my feelings, but instead found a very cursed video where someone added Hide and Seek to the scene and now I’m even more troubled.

I know, I just wanted to explain my reasoning for liking it more as I have often come across people who will protect an often regarded classic to the death and liking a sequel (no matter how slight the connection is) more than the first is seen as blasphemous.

The blasphemy here is more literal than usual, which is a treat.

Also are we just living in Scream 2 for real now?

Is Exorcist III the one with *the* jump scare scene?

There are no gifs of the sequel scene anywhere, this just gets worse and worse for me.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Exorcist III is fucking fantastic, just wish a full director's cut could exist

I find that I like the Tom Savini remake just as much as the original nowadays, and definitely more than all the sequels. Hot takes all around.

Same here though I am looking forward to seeing the Legion director's cut to get a look at what could have been.

Can't say I have seen it but I love the original so much I don't really have the urge to do so.

WHAT? I'm going to have a heart attack if I keep reading this thread haha

I can't wrap my head around liking Day of the Dead more but all three are great movies. As long as no one says Diary of the Dead is the best of the series, we'll be ok
