I’m not familiar with Infinite Warfare but I guess the system in that is what they initially went with and somewhere along the way it turned into guns being stuffed into loot boxes with no way as of yet for people to earn them through natural progression.




Also for anyone interested, the Breakpoint open beta starts tomorrow. It’s a lot of fun

 

Intrigued to see how this Survival Mode stuff pans out now that news outlets are picking it up. It is bullshit.

It’s actually happened before too, many times, and not just for a week or month. On PS3, BioShock finally came out a year or more after being on Xbox with a new challenge mode (Trials) and nobody batted an eyelid how 360 players couldn’t access it. Not until the remaster last year could those players actually try it. I was so happy seeing the remaster included all that content.

Anyway I hope IW/Activision actually respond - all I’ve seen so far is an employee claim it’s 1% of the game and that everything else is simultaneous. Either way, as sucky as it is...it’s COD. Expecting anything other than mtx is naive to say the least, and regardless of the mode people will still be rushing to play it in droves.
