I was trying to make a mid year list and it's damn near impossible and I don't know where to place this record. Listening again right now and I'm still blown away, considering I'd never listened to them/him before this record.

 

fav album of 2016 so far. it's kinda long though, i feel like it could have been two albums. i do not mean to complain, every minute is wonderful and i am glad to have so much to listen to.

 

all of his albums are very sprawling and long...honestly this could be the most concise and focused project he's done and it's still 70 minutes long, haha

 

Wait Car Seat Headrest lived near U of Maryland?

 

he grew up in leesburg. moved to seattle a few years back (that's what how to leave town is inspired by). came back winter 2015 to do some january shows and that's when he played here

 

LOL every good musician wants to go to Seattle. It's been my goal for awhile actually

Everyone should move here imo it's the best.

 

I visited once and it's life changing. Me and 3-6 friends depending on how many can commit are gonna try to at least move to Tacoma in a year

 

Saw these boys tonight at a festival in Portugal and they probably got the best reaction of the weekend from the crowd.

I've had 'Vincent' on repeat lately. Love the diversity on this album.

This is definitely my AOTY so far. I get something new out of it every time I listen.

 

They're the first act playing at Pitchfork next weekend, which is the absolute best way to kick off a festival.

I was drinking at a bar that also happens to sell records and I went back to see if they had this album and they were literally playing it over the speakers. So rad.
