They cost almost nothing to make, underpay the stars because they're often wrestlers, and have a built in audience/promotion. And wwe pockets all the DVD/Netflix/airplane/tv dollars. I would imagine they make tons of money.

I wonder if they expect the McMahon's to get a huge reaction again in Detroit because of the reaction to Shane's return last time they were here. It would be stupid for them to expect as much, but if there is a huge return (like Bischoff, which I think is unlikely), expect The Joe to go crazy.

 

Even shit like The Chaperone was made for an incredibly small $3M, and has done rounds on Netflix and HBO. In a decade or so that movie will have probably made double that. That's all they look at.
