New songs are absolutely flames.

 

I mean I love jimmy but I don’t think it’s even close to say they’re explored every possible sound they could at all haha

 

Jim told me this morning that they worked hard to write a bad album and that the next one will be Side A 5 Versions of Bleed American and Side B is 4 versions of 23.
Kidding aside I am super excited for this album.

 

Sounds like Jimmy. I feel like I hear like 5 other songs from them mixed in there at one point or another hahaha. Liking the energy, though.

 

This song is, unsurprisingly, good

 

Especially since all three songs we have heard so far have been fire.

New song rules and I can't wait.

 

Re-record adds layers to what’s happening in the song.

I was just making the point that they've been ridiculously consistent for some time now and I worry that the streak is going to eventually come to an end as it does for the vast majority of artists

 

It’s not because you’re a “dissenting voice,” or because people are “fragile,” but because of your absolutely miserable, cynical takes that often seem designed to provoke.

 

Well, part of the song is literally lifted from an old song of theirs. "We can do anything you want" in the bridge is taken from the song Jen. Melody and rhythm mostly in tact. I guess they saw that as an option because Jen was never officially released, and I think it's a nice callback too.

 

Okay then, the new songs are wonderful and I think the new album will more than likely be the greatest album of all time. Better?

 

I think if you had just said "I don't love the new songs" no one would have cared. The "do we really *need* a new JEW album in 2019?" stuff will get flack because 1. The band wants to release new music, and that's the only justification needed and 2. Most fans seem to be enjoying the new songs as well.

 

I like the whole song but the verses and ****sax**** are the highlights

Fair enough. I guess I'm just personally not that excited for new stuff from them, especially after hearing the new songs.

All the Way (Stay) is absolutely brilliant though, never thought I needed a sax solo in a Jimmy Eat World song before now!
