  1. So I missed this second half....just saw the Son offside call....are you fucking kidding me? I'm pro VAR but good lord not if they are going to be overturning something like that. Absolute horse shit.

  2. Like....the first Leicester goal was overturned due to offside. But there were like 4 guys clearly offside. How the linesman missed it live is beyond me. But using VAR for an obvious blown call like that is perfectly fine.

And earlier in the game Rose went down in box after contact from Evans. The ref immediately said no pen. On replay there was contact and Spurs fans were making the argument for a pen. I'm actually ok with not overturning that (though I don't think they even reviewed it). When viewed in super slow mode you can kinda say it was a pen. But looking at something that slow distorts things. In live time the contact was more initiated or exaggerated by Rose. If they would've overturned that it'd be an example of VAR going too far. I was completely fine with how that played out.

The Son call is where it's getting ridiculous though. If you have to take it millisecond by millisecond to determine an offside (and still not even clearly know if he was off) then whatever was called on the pitch should stay the call. I cannot believe they disallowed that.

Would not be surprised to see Valverde fired by the time I wake up in the morning. Genuinely, shockingly bad performance by Barcelona.

Don't believe everything you read, Kovac is not in danger at all.

I tried to find a video of the incident but had no luck. But from everything I read so far it is another example of ridicilous usage of VAR. The video referee cannot even exactly determine the time of the pass (because there is no implemented technology to do so), but they regularly overturn decisions because in the still frame they use (which is completely arbitrarily), the striker appears to be some millimeters offside. It's ridiculous. Espescially when on the other hand situations with clear fouls are not challenged at all. We have VAR for 2 years in the Bundesliga and I just can say - I told you so...

I'd really love to see the VAR still frame they used because in that video, there is no offside at all. That's level all day long. And that's all that matters to me. The offside rule was not introduced to punish these situations.

Edit: And at the time they pause the video the ball is even some centimeters away from the passer, which means that it is not the exact moment of the pass.

  7. Going up 2-0 at 65 minutes is massive compared to 1-0 and the opposing team gaining momentum based on the call. The game completely changed after that. I mean, Spurs still need to do better. We still blew another lead. But that is a massive mistake from the ref and the replay officials.

  9. This was also ridiculous. Great tackle from Sissoko. Won the ball. Ref debated a red lol

Ehh that's a reckless tackle, doesn't matter if he wins the ball he's not in control and just dived in. Freekick would have been fair, no need for a card.

The worse VAR call of the day was in the Burnley Norwich game. Barnes was clearly tripped by Godfrey. Ref waved it away, replays showed how blatant it was VAR was still unwilling to overrule the refs decision.

We drew 1-1 with Fulham yesterday. Bizarre game which they absolutely dominated but didn’t have the guts to go for a second goal. With Cavalairo, Reid, Mitrovic and Knockaert they should really be putting average sides like Wednesday to the sword. As it happened they sat off and we robbed them in the 93rd minute thanks to a Nuhiu header.

Was it as bad as the Leeds/Derby match? Could not believe Derby left there with a point.

You reckon? I'd be very shocked if so. I think he has the backing of the board a little more than that. But we do look insipid. Something needs to change. Who would we get in?

Our last away win was February. I’d like to hear the excuse if he does stay on.

Selling Lukaku was an absolutely horrendous decision by the club. I don't care if he was unhappy about being benched. What other club with ambitions to be at the top would sell a world class striker? We're barely a month into the season and we're regretting it already.

    @fangclubb Prestigious

Nah selling him was fine. Not replacing him was the mistake.

I feel like the board like having a yes man in charge and won't act till the situation becomes toxic (as has happened with the last 3). There hasn't been much vocal fan discontent and I'm not sure he'll go till there is.

Noble should be off. Of course it wasn’t a red though because he’s just an honest player making an honest studs up challenge.
