Cynical and Left Alone are the only songs on California I still like.

I very much dislike that song.

I obviously am not against cursing, but "fucking" rabbit hole just feels weird to me, like forced maybe? "All the hints that you leave are too hard to believe" is a really great melodic part however

I really wish I hated you sounds like a post Malone song.

  12. Guess I should finally get around to checking out Post Malone then.

On my first listen, didn't touch the leak. This sounds pretty much exactly what I thought 2019 Blink without Tom would sound like. That's definitely not a complaint. "Pin the Grenade" is freaking great.

I really like California, but I think this might be stronger.

    Reunion tour

Definitely stronger than California. Misery, Hey I'm Sorry and 6/8 were the best of that lot by far

the instrumentals of The First Time sounds like a Paper Walls-era Yellowcard song

Decided to revamp the lyrics to my favorite song off the album, and I'd like to share them for your pleasure:

    Hey, wait, where's the buffet?
If you don't mind, I'll just stuff my face

The mac n' cheese is burnt, and the Jell-O squares are gone
Should I take the last riblet, or leave the extra prawn?

    Hey, wait, where's the buffet?
Are you in line, get outta my way

A lot of people didn't like Rabbit Hole because it wasn't what they were expecting, and it was a bit generic, but now that we have far more context of blink's Matt-era discography, it's actually really catchy and fun. Especially the bassline in the post-chorus.

I think it would've smashed on the Alt/Indie charts if they made it a single. It just has that fall time, flannel-jam sound to it that alt stations eat up.

You could literally put in a dozen Top 40 artists on that song and it would fit. I think that was the intention of the song. They said it took them forever to finish that one and find the right tone. I think it's cool they put it out and it actually works as a blink song. Even with the awful mix on the Spotify stream, it sounded killer live. It will be a great song to mix up the setlist and Travis will make it huge.

This is a lot stronger than I was expecting. Still some clunkers for me, but definitely some bangers. Think this will have more staying power for me than California.

I guess I'm in the minority at the moment, but I think I still prefer California. Need to give this a few more spins and maybe I'll change my mind.

I like Ransom, but I could definitely do without Happy Days. (At least where it is on the album.)
