  1. Yeah that show ruled. I wouldn’t say they really talked about a lot that isn’t already known, but I liked that they’d sort of focus the placement of certain songs based on whatever anecdote Kenny has just gone over. It’s shocking to me how well he continues to sing songs that were originally performed by his ~15 year old self!

Looks like an instrumental Vacationer record is coming out next month (and new track is out today). Pretty cool, and I'm glad he's doing this.

Side note: That "Ode to Summer Mixtape" he made years back was a life saver. I started my current 8-5 job five years ago, but I still lived with a bunch of friends who still partied a lot. People would be over at our house all hours of the night probably six nights a week. Putting on headphones and listening to that mixtape damn near every single night was the only way I got myself to sleep.

Fuck yes I'm so hype for an instrumental album from him. The instrumental shit he posts on Instagram is sick.

While this is bumped, just gonna say I laid down and listened to Say It Like You Mean It front to back today. What a perfect album.

I know few people who know Kenny personally and from what they’ve said, I’d be very surprised if they did new music any time soon.

Thanks for the idea. I wish. That opens up a whole new can of worms. There's only one setlist on there and it has a mysterious "new song" with the following lyrics: she's a positive part of my life, love electric, Tennessee.

I heard Decisions, Decisions playing in Walmart tonight. Pretty cool and pretty weird.

  14. Caught the show in Cleveland last night. Here's the setlist. The storytelling aspect of the show wasn't a particularly major part of the evening. Kenny basically ran through first level bullet points as they played through. The band sounded great though and we had a really good time.

He talked about this a fair amount. They really feel like they went out on a high note with Direction and repeated that they wouldn't make another record until they felt they could top it. Kenny mentioned doing more 7" records in the future and that more music was likely.

They still love playing together, that was evident.

I figured we’d get more Anyways-sized drops every so often, whenever they felt up to it. Glad to hear that that’s likely to happen at some point.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I feel like for them to do a full length would essentially mean that Vacationer is done.

I’m totally on board for 7” releases. I think it’d be really awesome for them to release something at the top of the year and announce weekend dates throughout the year in different areas for like 12-18 months.

  17. Kenny is on the Peer Pleasure podcast today. I’ve got about 15 minutes left on it but it’s been a really fun conversation so far. Definitely some repeat TSL stuff that most of us already know, but a lot of humorous chit chat and personal Kenny stuff as well that makes it feel like less of just the normal TSL oral history rehash

  18. Thanks for the heads up. Added to the queue for tomorrow's commute.
