album is actually incredibly solid. was not expecting this level of quality with that much time gone.

First Daughters comes back with a masterpiece. Then this.

There's word that the Locust are recording also. Shit, just need the Blood Brothers back and I can die happy.

 

Digging into the full album right now. Loved everything I've heard so far. They are back and better than ever!

One of their songs came on the radio and I was blown away by how much I liked it. Their sound has come a long way. guess I need to check out this album.

Look, all for growing up, maturing, evolving your sound, whatever. But this is a completely different band. Literally no through line from old Number 12 and whatever this is.

 

Not what I was expecting at all but I don’t think it’s completely off base. It reminds me of parts of Marvin’s Jungle and League of Endangered Oddities without the overt jazzy parts. The pivot is a little weird considering how the entire back catalog is very not accessible whereas this sounds like they’re trying to be.

 

The overt jazzy parts is all I want

 

Yeah I don’t even mind if he doesn’t want to scream, I don’t mind his cleans but musically it’s just so generic

 

honest question, are those the same members? i'm so confused.
