  4. New Stephen King adaptation. One of the handful of Netflix horrors dropping in Oct. Written and directed by Vincenzo Natali, who's often an interesting director.

Here's her short, Room 55, for anyone curious. It's not scary, but that ties in with its theme I think.

Just watched Escape Room. Dumb as hell, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a ton of fun with that movie. As someone who is more or less obsessed with escape rooms in real life, this was right up my alley.

Tigers Are Not Afraid was amazing. It’s second movie of the year that is primarily a fairy tale with horror elements and it was great. I’m not sure if I liked this more than Midsommar, but they’re neck and neck. They’re both so far above everything else I’ve seen this year. These two movies are the only ones I know will definitely be on my end of the year list.

Watching Bezelbuth and then this almost back to back was an emotional gut punch in the best way. Also both are from the same studio I believe. Tigers had me feelin some sort of way very early in the morning last Sunday after I watched it.

I still need to watch Bezelbuth. I was between that and Tigers when I was trying to figure out what to watch. I’ll probably do it tonight when I’m free. I’m tempted to start Marianne too. I hear good things about that Netflix show.

Bezelbuth was really good (wasn’t a fan of the third act though)

About to watch Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire

Hell House III is bad, definitely the worst of the series.

Belzebuth and Tigers kind of let me down, understand the budget restrictions, but the stuffed tiger and possessed crucifix took me out of them — had some enjoyable elements though.

Also, got a new 4K TV recently and Shudder looks like absolute shit on it, wonder if there’s a way to fix that or it’s just their resolution/compression.

Completely understand this, especially the crumbling jesus statue. I swear it looked like some weird claymation effect But I was able to remain fully engaged for both movies.

Yeah, especially in October. I forget a lot of the segments but I remember finding it very enjoyable last year. I'll watch it again this year too.

Very corny ending to Hell House LLC III. Disappointed.
