Amazing show, Andy Hull and Jesse's wife and baby came out with cake and the crowd sang happy birthday. Then later Andy sang with Jesse on Play Crack the Sky. It was incredible.

I had what would have been decent video of the whole birthday thing but there was an entire row of drunk assholes behind me screaming "Seventy Times 7" and "ATL Ho" for some reason?? as loud as they could so you can hardly hear anything. >:(

It's been like two days ish since I saw them in Tampa and I'm still shocked that I got to see both Noro and 1996. Like, legitimately feels like a weird dream.
Also Modest Mouse was p sick btw, so stoked they played Dramamine.

Ugh so pissed I missed the show last night. I had tickets, but had to sell them since something came up. Would have been so cool seeing Andy sing Play Crack The Sky with Jesse.

 

I was there the night that they played 1996 live for the first time and I haven't been the same man since.

 

I know that feel.

Man if Brand New plays Noro in Philly I'll be so stoked. Hope I can go on Saturday

 

Jesse did say in Atlanta that they "hope to be back soon" or something along those lines. So there's something?

I got some pretty sweet pics from the show last night if I do say so myself. Also a pic to show where I was at compared to where I ended up after two random Modest Mouse fans gave me their front row tickets because they were there just for MM and we looked nice to them. I mean, they missed one hell of a show no matter if you like BN or not. So strange to me that ppl would give up tickets like that. Oh well!







Also I had an "old wound" pop up today when I go back to look at the setlist from when I saw Brand New/Manchester Orchestra/and Kev Dev in 07 in Atlanta. We left after their last song Bangkok and stayed for a bit after they were done, but little did I know that much much after they left stage, Jesse came back out to do 4 acoustic tracks included two covers, Soco, and Handcuffs. I'll never hear Handcuffs live.

 

Atlanta has gotten some great sets from Brand New for as long as I can remember. Not sure why I haven't made a trek down for one of their shows. May need to change that next time they tour.
