I've gotten all of mine at PokeStops

 

I feel your pain. I'm well on my way to being able to field an entire team of Raticates just from the amount of Rattatas around my apartment. Out of pokeballs now though :/

yeah my coworkers have found venusaurs and pinsirs and i havent gotten anything too rare. its cool though some of my faves in that gen are fairly common (vileplume and starmie)

 

So can someone elaborate on gyms for me? I notice that sometimes the Pokemon I see floating above the icon before I click on it winds up not being the one left there by the trainer for battle when I click on it to challenge. Though I haven't actually challenged any yet, if your team already runs the gym does that mean you can't challenge?

Also, if you have control of a gym, and you leave a Pokemon behind and it's defeated, do you lose that Pokemon? Lastly, does battling your Pokemon at gyms increase/level up your Pokemon?

 

I wasn't planning on doing ny gym battles tonight, but I walked by one with a trainer named 'lynchallblacks' and decided that had to go. I went to put my Pidgeot in there and saw that someone had claimed it in the time it took me to heal my bird. I had my headphones on, so I didn't react to this guy until he put his hand on my shoulder. Freaked me the fuck out. It's too late for this shit.

 

You can swipe through the Pokemon that are defending. It will usually be between 1-4 from what I've seen so far.

You can challenge friendly gyms. Not sure what the point of that is, since the game had been failing for me up until now.

You don't lose the poke, but you will have to heal it before using it again.

You can only increase the pokes levels yourself.

 

Took me until today to find an Eevee. Also caught a Horsea and a Krabby at the park, which is awesome because I had basically no water pokemon prior to that.

The equestrian center and a couple more landmarks at the park got added as Pokestops today.

Just caught a 355 Growlithe so that's awesome

And hatched a Chansey with a 10km egg. It's CP is super low and only goes up by 10 each time - it's around 150 now, but it's health is close to 200 so it's clearly a tank

 

Real upset my device has an intel processor so it's not compatible :( Spent the drive to Buffalo today watching my sister play haha

 

Curious to see if Coro Coro has anything new this week or they just touch on Go and the lizard. Supposed to have some type of new footage on Saturday.

Level 11, didn't think I was doing especially well, hah. Not finding many cool/rare Pokemon in my neighborhood unfortunately, and haven't played much elsewhere. I've probably only traveled like 11km total. Ive caught enough Pidgeys to have like 10 Pidgeots though so I've banked up a lot of stardust.

 

I haven't found many cool pokemon out and about in my town yet, which is depressing hearing what my friends have found ha. But I did hatch a magmar, bulbasaur, and an onix today from eggs, so at least I have that going for me

Also my name's Josh and I like pokemon, hello everyone

 

I live in a small city where you don't see people out and about that much. The park consists of parents just bringing their kids to the playground and the square just consists of a few people grabbing lunch. Today/tonight there were probably 50 people all on the square and 80 or so up at the park. All just walking around, conversing with each other, helping each other, etc. This game is actually bringing communities together and it's pretty incredible.

 

Also, I caught an Ivysaur and a Lapras today. And hatched a Scyther. It was a good day.

 

My top Pokemon are in the 450-650 range, but 4 of my top 6 are Pidgeots -_-

Don't want to waste any candies when it comes to rarer pokes that need evolving. They should make it possible to get random candies at pokestops

 

Put my pokemon down in 2 gyms 10 mins ago. I get home and I have them back with no health - fml.

 

I just realized I'll be at Comic con in a couple weeks. I can't even imagine how insane that's going to be for Pokemon Go and the surrounding area, I'll take pics if it's worth it
