Still haven't listened despite Brad hyping me to insane levels with Darkside only being his 6th favorite on this thing haha

Except those few listens to Run Away on reddit

 

I literally took off work early next Friday to listen to this for the first time. Splatter vinyl. Great headphones. Nobody home but me and the dog (kids at school, wife at work).

So far, all these comments make it seem like the right choice. Anticipation is now sky-high.

AND I'M TAKING MY KIDS TO SEE THEM TONIGHT.

 

I’ll admit I almost broke last night. But I couldn’t get my computer to locate my phone to add the songs to Apple Music. I took that as a sign that:
1. I should wait for the physical copy
2. I need a new laptop

I’ve been playing this nonstop since last night. This record fucking rules.

 

I'm a married parent in my mid-30's. Everything I do is guided by hard dates.

If anything, the anticipation makes it even better? Especially reading these reactions.

 

I'll be there too! But without my kids! While my son would have a blast, it would be way past his bed time haha

 

I look at it like having no access to your favorite food, but knowing you’re going to the best restaurant that serves that food any day now.

Also the Run Away on reddit is TERRIBLE quality so production wise I kind of haven't really heard it haha

 

Taking my five year old son and two year old daughter with my wife. Fuck bedtime. They've been listening to Enema for months to prepare - their favorite goddamn song is Dysentary Gary, which almost sucks from a singalong standpoint but also rules?

This kind of show will never happen again. You can catch up on sleep. But how cool is it gonna be in 20 years to tell them they stayed up until 11, looking at a flaming fuck and screaming "I guess this is growing up"?

Man. When I'm wearing headphones, the guitar pick 'flick-a-dicky' sounds on the climax of 'remember to forget me' bother me more than I think they should. Almost hurts my head.

 

I kinda wish they hadn’t released Darkside as a single, I like that song sooooo damn much but overlistened and now I keep skipping it to listen to the new songs.

Pretty sure it would be tied for my favorite with First Time and Pin the Grenade.

 

I don't have a favorite song on the album currently. Thankfully I didn't overplay the singles as well. Every song hits for me. The sequencing is perfect.

 

Hungover You is ridiculously catchy.

 

I like this. I'm pleasantly surprised. I've had the same complaints about California as everyone else, but I'm relieved to hear them lean on their alternative side more this time.

Hungover You, Black Rain, and The First Time are my favorites at the moment, along with Darkside. Really hope we get more stuff like those four songs in the future.
