I don't work in A&R, but I would love to understand the logic of whoever heard this album and decided that Happy Days needed to be the second single.
I hope they stop trying to push the pop singles. Make a music video for Heaven and push to rock/alternative radio. That song will friggin kill!

 

Happy Days might be one of the most Cali-Deluxe sounding songs on this

They erased Tom DeLonge from blink-182 with NINE. I cannot even imagine being part of this album.

 

Album is definitely better than I expected it to be but I still can’t get past some of these lyrics. Not sure i’ll ever return to it but i’m so happy people are enjoying it.

 

Listening for the second time- Black Rain really is that bitch.

As much as I love having Feeling This as their opener for live shows I wouldn't be upset if First Time replaced it as an opener.

This album makes me want Mark and Matt signature guitars to learn all the new songs

Is this Kool Aid talking, or is this for real? I have read 8 pages of comments post-leak and can count the negatives without using all my fingers.

 

The album is good. The negatives come down to specific tastes in specific songs it seems.

 

I said this a few pages back, but they were in an objectively better place to make a better album than the last couple. Matt was more acclimated to the band, they already had a throwback/familiar album last time, the collaboration was there, it is creative but still feels like blink... They also fixed the flaws from California we talked about to no end.

So yeah, it’s still down to personal taste but there’s just a good feeling all around this one.
