Every time he speaks I think it’s Chris Parnell. EVERY TIME.

And if he’s a main character now, how many Big Dick jokes do they cram in each episode? I can’t imagine they used restraint there.

This was definitely underwhelming. Veronica and Logan’s relationship was the only interesting thread in this season. Ending it with Logan blowing up felt like a “24,” just-for-shock-value twist that completely unnecessary. Veronica is not a tragic Jack Bauer character, she’s just a person who dedicates too much time to her detective work. She didn’t deserve that and neither did Logan. I sincerely don’t understand the reasoning behind that that makes sense in any way.

I also wish it would have stuck its guns with Keith’s problems instead of erasing it all at the last second. It’s a natural, realistic passing of the baton to Veronica. I assume RT didn’t want to make the ending endlessly depressing. But it felt like so much time wasted on it this season to dash it immediately.

I think eight episodes was too long for this. There was too much wheel spinning and characters that didn’t need to be there. That could be forgiven in early seasons because they had 20+ episode orders to satisfy. There’s no reason here. It was fun hanging out with all the old characters and Patton and the one actress from “The Good Place” were enjoyable. But this does not make me ever want to revisit it or do a rewatch of the series.

  14. It looks like 18-discs, which I would think is the original series only and not the fourth.

hm okay, this is also 18 discs

idk i still kinda want it even though i haven't seen it yet. It's between this and Orphan Black, which is five seasons for $92. The other two being Fringe and Teen Titans for ~$75ea.

Isn't this on Hulu? I just got six months for $2.99/MO. Should probably watch it before buying it.

edit: I went with Orphan Black. I think this sale happens every year, though.

I just want to say I completely approve of you buying all 5 seasons of Orphan Black

  18. Teen Titans and Fringe are also 5 seasons each, haha

But yeah, I'm definitely gonna watch Veronica Mars on Hulu while I can.

  19. Finally was able to watch season 4 and WHY. WHY? I'm mad and so disappointed.

Love this egg story being played for laughs, super cool.

And seriously, when does Logan make the turn to being likable? I know everyone here loves him, but I’m still waiting...

Also if anyone else like me is working through it for the first time, the movie is leaving HBO in a week. I’m going to binge it so I don’t lose out on that, then maybe take a break before S4.

If you haven't found him likable yet, you probably won't by the end.

For me, I gradually fell in love with him once Veronica and him started dating again in S2. Just the transformation of his character while still being extremely flawed and those flaws rearing their head every now and then

Yeah, he’s just always been awful to me.
There have been moments where he does something right, but generally I haven’t seen any real change. This episode (Lord of the Pi’s) he’s especially gross. Going for the full on abuser trope of, “I had you followed and tried to strip away your agency because I love you so much!” is just a huge yikes.
