Plastic Cough was one of my favorite albums of 2017. The Stereogum article had me a little worried, but then I listened. Song is a stunner.

 

Single is great. It’s pretty striking how similar the vocals sound like Frances/Hop Along at certain point. Along with them and Big Thief, I also hear bits of Frankie Cosmos. Record is going to rule.

 

ohh didn’t think of Frankie Cosmos but I hear it now.

 

One of the best songs I’ve heard all year. Can’t stop listening

When I saw them back in July, they played Rosalie, Endling, Digger, Split Up The Kids, and Mostly Here from this upcoming album (so nearly half the album, which was cool as it hadn't even been announced yet). They all sounded really good, hoping one of them is the new single they are releasing next week.

 

are those songs in the same vein as mono?

 

I don't remember all of them exactly, but I remember enjoying all of them. I don't think they were all super similar to mono but they sounded like they would fit on an album with mono also on it.
