I agree that No Future and San Diego have the most Trio influence. The bridge of the former and chorus of the latter for sure.

the numbers are truly exceptional. Radiohead did 1k more. Bowie did 2k more. RHCP did WAY less.

i don't believe blink will score a mainstream hit again, but that they can sell this many albums in 2016 after losing a core member is no bullshit. you can count in your fingers the amount of rock bands that have this lasting power.

 

Their label really pushed the hell outta them. But labels make investments and I'm sure they plan on recouping that investment during their tours. But I wonder if blinks tours are gonna do better than usual. Blink, like Dave Matthews, foo fighters, and even Jack Johnson don't need a lot of media blitz to sell tickets.

 

Got this thing spinning on vinyl for the first time. I love this record.

"San Diego" is being played as a fade out and fade in to commercials during the MLB Future All-Stars game. Pretty appropriate with the game being played in San Diego.

 

I don't know, with the right promotion Sober and Home is Such a Lonely Place can definitely crack the top 40.
