An idea I've always had was I thought it would be cool if they just did recordings of like Matt's five favorite blink songs or something with him. I have no idea what that Spotify thing is but since the re-recording idea was thrown out there I'll say it haha

 

That would be a perfect excuse to have a fresh set list...

 

Which Tom would have to rehearse, which is another established thing he hates haha

The dude just wouldn't be happy in blink. I like productive happy blink as it is now

 

He had no issues doing AVA rehearsals recently.

 

Exactly what I said a few pages ago. He says he wants to play new/different songs yet he won't put the time in to rehearse them.

 

Considering AVA hadn't had a show in what 7 plus years I would have hoped he would have rehearsed for the new tour haha.

 

He likes doing whatever for the band he wants to be in. Ya know, the band whose merch he wore at literally every blink show lol.

 

I think those are hay stacks underneath the Buddha??

 

Tom is off doing his own thing, very happily, while blink is off doing their own thing and about to release a new album, very happily – yet people STILL want to complain about him. Maybe when he's dead, people will finally give him a break or something. Probably not, though.

 

I kinda thought that too. Are the checkered flags in the first image supposed to relate to "taking off"? That doesn't make sense, but I don't know exactly what those would represent.

 

there's a few different pictures going around, it looks like. none show anything that is Neighborhoods or TOYPAJ related yet though, from what i can tell.

 

I love the artwork. Wish that was an album art for something ha.

 

(Or cause his company is super strapped for cash.)

This is the way I look at it. Doesn’t make sense to me why people want to complain and hate on him but also on the same token wish he was back and keep swearing he’s coming back. They’re all happy, we all get new music from all parties. Just enjoy

Just trying to give a reality check to people who see him enjoying himself in AVA and think that would translate to a blink return that's all! I'm happy he's happy doing the other stuff. Want all the happiness to continue for both bands.

 

What's weird is that the smiley logo has six arrows so it could be in reference to the Neighborhoods era where they used that to represent their sixth album....

.....except now they are counting Buddha to get to NINE so that would mean Neighborhoods is actually their seventh album.

 

If these are re-recordings, I think they are solidifying Matt’s part within the band. Dance Gavin Dance did this where Tilian sang a lot of their older songs as a way to show people he’s their singer moving forward. That wasn’t the main reason why they did it, but it did send that message and that’s why I assume they chose a number of Tom-heavy songs as well.

I could be totally making this up so I have no idea.

And Tom doesn’t like carousel? I know he thinks it’s a silly song but hate seems strong. I fucking love Carousel.

 

Honestly just gonna be cool hearing their old songs recorded with modern production techniques.

Regarding Tom, I’m happy he is happy doing AvA. Yeah, I would like an alternative time line where he liked being in Blink but having him half ass it is no fun.

Never seen that Blizzcon clip but it’s clear by the way he sings that he doesn’t care for that song. And who can blame him? He wrote that shit in 10 minutes and it became a hit instead of the stuff he cared about.
