You want me to shave my head...i mean, I guess I'll do that too...You want me to wear those?! I really got myself in too deep on this one didn't I."

Jesse seemed to comment on the recent wave of violence at tonight's show.

Edit: Here's another clip someone posted that features the full spiel:

I'm so old, part of me doesn't want to even be in the pit tonight in Tampa.

Brand New is one of the only bands for which I'll still try to get as close to the stage as possible. It's such a cathartic and euphoric experience.

Really? I specifically got seats because the least fun I've ever had at a show was when they played Boston Calling.

The crowds are always hit and miss, especially a festival setting such as Boston Calling. I don't think I'd ever camp out or try to be in front of a stage they were playing at a fest. That sounds like a miserable idea. At any other show, it's usually tolerable enough to where I can enjoy myself and get lost in the performance despite people pushing and crowd surfing.

    The Feeling and the Sound

I think the reason festivals are so miserable is because it's outdoors? When I saw BN at Riot Fest, it had rained the entire day and I was knee deep (literally, I'm only 5 feet tall) in mud and it was so hard to focus on the music because everyone around me kept slipping and sliding in the mud and grabbing me to stay standing. Pushing and crowd surfing are one thing. Being strangled because someone is falling is another.

I made sure I got front row for the intimate UK gigs but 100% will be seating for the world tour. I want to enjoy every moment of it in comfort. Pits never appealed to me, and I'm not a big guy so I usually end up getting pushed/punched/having my glasses knocked off. Fuck that. I'd be devastated if the last time I get to see Brand New is spoiled by some inconsiderate bellend. And that's not to say folk seating aren't dicks at times - but I've had far less go wrong seating than standing. A perfect example of why I'm over standing is getting a cigarette put out on me and slapped across the face by a girl, then punched in the ribs by the offender's boyfriend. Why? Because I didn't want to give up my spot and let this girl and her lanky-ass boyfriend go in front of me after I had stood queuing for 4 hours in the cold for front row. Wasn't at a Brand New show but there's twats in every fanbase and I don't hear much good about this one ha.

EDIT - sure, argue that I shouldn't be standing if I don't want that to happen, but buying a pit ticket doesn't give you the right to be a tool.

Yeah he commented on the violence and I recorded it too but someone beat me to it!

Also he skipped playing boy who blocked his own shot because his guitar was out of tune, it bummed me out.
Other than that, great show can't wait to see them again tonight.
Leaving soon with hopes to get barricade in the pit. I've never been remotely that close for them and really want to be.
Wish me luck as I might die in this heat.

Apparently they played 1996 tonight in Tampa. That's always been one of my favorite songs by them, so of course it comes out when they come to town and I don't go.

They should be playing more of the leaked demos. I really thought they would now that they have been officially released and have titles.

In case any of you haven't seen these yet:

I'm hopeful someone got the whole song. I must hear how that guitar solo sounds live. From the sound of it, they might be playing an octave higher than on record.

    Edit: Full vid has surfaced.

I noticed that, too. Couldn't tell if it was a flub or new line.
