I mean I wouldn’t say the song is “good”, I guess it’s hard to pinpoint why that is....sounds like Weezer trying on someone else’s clothes. It’s clearly heavy on Van Halen influence. Guitar tones are identical. Some of the power on the backend reminds me of some stuff on Maladroit like “Americana Gigolo” and “Dooe Nose”. It’s definitely closer to that era which will automatically endear it to some fans. That being said, I’d probably listen to it more than anything off Black, save maybe 1-2 songs.

So far a Paris date has leaked, not sure if a North American leg is after, but I wanna be included in this. Hella Mega is right. I just worry about trying to get pit for this if so.

Also, I'm gonna wait until Tuesday to hear Van Weezer. But, I already know I'm gonna love it.

Been on a Weezer kick the last couple of days. Just have had their entire discography on shuffle. Everybody Get Dangerous is honestly a top 5 favorite song from them. While Blue & Pinkerton are obviously their best, I genuinely think every album is good. Around Maladroit/Make Believe, I think they turned into a good pop-rock band.

wow, The End of the Game is great!

 

Yeah, it's super fun. My only complaint is how polished the production sounds, I wish it was a little grittier, but the chorus is such an earworm. Big White Album vibes

 

New song is amazing.

 

If this is the worst/corniest song on a new album (Back to the Shack/Thank God for Girls style), I might be back in. But, after Pacific Daydream and Black, my trust is back to pre-EWBAITE levels.
