Where abouts in the UK are you heading? If you get a chance, do try and visit the North East. There are some really beautiful areas up here!

At least we will probably get a pretty good quality sounding bootleg out of it.

20 years of enema is cool i guess, whatever. I cant wait to see what they have planned for the 10 year anniversary of neighborhoods. Tom is for sure coming back.

Neighbourhoods does have top tier blink songs such as Ghost on the dance floor, natives, up all night, after midnight, hearts all gone, and wishing well.

EDIT: If NINE has 6 top tier blink songs on it like Neighbourhoods does I'll be stoked. 0/5 for me so far.

They definitely should play some Neighbourhoods stuff. The record has issues but there are some cool songs there. I still don't get the hate for Up All Night.

Regarding the "Greatest Hits" setlist I always felt that it was a Mark thing and Tom probably doesn't want to play half of those songs.

EDIT: This isn't meant to sound like a criticism or anything. Just the feeling I get from when Tom performs stuff like First Date or whatever.

I mean I definitely understand why people think it was all Mark on deciding to play the “greatest hits” set list when Tom was still in the band however two things to think about:

    1. According to Mark and Travis, Tom didn’t want to rehearse and when they would rehearse he would complain the whole time.

    2. Do you really think if Tom did/didn’t want to play a handful of songs he would just sit back let it happen? This is a guy who basically dictated how the band operated (they recorded on his terms and toured when had time) but wouldn’t have a say in what they played live?

Most likely Tom just didn’t care enough about the live set list to change it and Mark continued to go with the flow.

I still think that Neighbourhoods is a great record and I can't understand all the hate about itB-)
This Is Home and Love Is Dangerous are only two songs I am not a fan of. And Fighting the Gravity is one of the best experimental songs, which Mark has written.

I actually went and listened to Neighborhoods yesterday! September always puts me in a Neighborhoods mood. I'll always love and hate that album, but definitely enjoyed it on my re-visting.

Honestly, the two blink albums I really enjoy at this point are Untitled and Neighborhoods :seeno:

Neighborhoods isn’t their best, but gets more hate than it deserves. That’s my take and I’m sticking to it

Imo a lot of the drama surrounding the recording process taints fan perception of Neighborhoods

My biggest beef with it is just the production. Isn't as crisp and sonically pleasing as I'd like. But the songs themselves I love.

I agree. It’s a bit disjointed and could have used some better production. But Ghost, Natives, HAG, wishing well, up all night, even if she falls. All jams.

that, and you can just hear the difference between the diffrent producers/studios

Damn it. Last night I jokingly sang, "A little drunk, waiting on your phone call. I wore cologne, to get the feeling right." and now I can't un-hear it.

  23. Honestly, I separate the band into 2 categories: Pre-Breakup and Post-Reunion. Neighborhoods doesn't have any songs that I would consider top tier Blink-182, but it's got some of their best post-reunion era songs on it, if that makes sense, haha.

I got into blink with Neighborhoods when I was really young, so I never really noticed a difference quality-wise between that and their older stuff. I listened to 'After Midnight' and then I listened to 'What's My Age Again' for the first time and went "wow, these are good songs" without even a second thought.

Also I'm just more of a pop music guy, particularly in terms of production, so Tom's more experimental (AVA-Style) sensibilities gel with me more too.

    Neighborhoods is bad.

Not every song is awful, but as an album, it’s very bad.
