Some incredible stuff. Home is one of my favourite albums ever lyrically and Goodness is insanely well written. I think they write great songs musically and melodically with a lot of passion in the vocals but the lyrics are what really sets them apart from most band's for me.

 

I still haven't heard their new album. Last one was all right, though.

 

I did 3 listens in a row. It's really good. Get on it.

I liked the Home album a lot which surprised me cause I don't listen to a lot of Chorus loved bands. I listened to the new one once and nothing stuck on first listen but I've been meaning to check it out again

 

Christian conveys imagery like few others and the instrumentation backs it up perfectly

 

Goodness is a major grower. I actually prefer it to Home after sitting with it for a while.

It took a live show for me to really appreciate Home, I listened to it 2 times prior and thought it was alright.

As for another unpopular opinion, Keep You by PBTT is real boring. I get what they were trying to pursue with that release and I respect a shift in sound, they got rid of a sound that got them to really stick among their peers.

 

I don't know the artist you are talking about, but skimming through and seeing the album title of Home it makes me think of the Sevendust album. Unpopular opinion: Sevendust is one of the best bands currently going today.

 

What's the best Sevendust album? I've only listened to Home because Chino Moreno was on one of the songs.

 

I would say my favorite is tied between Animosity and Cold Day Memory. They released an acoustic album called Time Travelers and Bonfires couple years ago and it's really good. May appeal to more people who don't like their kind of rock.

Pretty unpopular, at least here. No Dev seems to be the consensus best

 

Mine is War All The Time and I think that's pretty unpopular, at least among big Thursday fans

I listened to Meadowlands by The Wrens for the first time. I was not into it, to put it mildly. Very rare that I have such a viscerally negative reaction to such a widely acclaimed album
